A franchise QB just took a bad OL and a reviled head coach to the super bowl

the argument is over

you don’t pass on an opportunity to take a franchise QB just because you want to stick it to a coach you don’t like, you don’t pass on a potential franchise QB to “play it safe” in the draft

its time for the panthers to draft a QB

And you think there's a Joe Burrow in this draft?🤔

A franchise QB can make a bad OL look decent. But a team will be hindered by a bad QB no matter how good the OL is. We need an OL but we really need a QB that can rise above a bad OL, even if his OL is good. Panthers have neither in Darnold.

I laughed when the Bengals hired Zac Taylor because it looked like another McVay hire. Bengals have a very smart coaching staff and beat the Chiefs the way you are supposed to.

Way to go Bengals and Burrow and Chase. Go get a Super Bowl.

Don't insult Zac Taylor like that by comparing him to Drhule.

Tom Brady wouldn't be able to drag Rhule to the divisional round. He's that bad. He has been outcoached in 95% of his games.

Chiefs fans will be wailing about that illegal formation for years to come.

I think its good he didn't house it on that play from like 60 out. I could see them being pissed off there. But Bengals were already in FG position. Don't think it mattered much.

    • We're definitely not going to get the benefit of the whistle anytime soon. Teams have certainly been getting more physical with us since that first Pistons loss. We responded with many upcoming wins by playing very physical basketball ourselves. That's what it's going to take. If it means some fouls along the way so be it but the team has to set the tone. But either way we need more offense closer to the rim. We're right there with GS for most 3PA. And the Warriors are also backing their way into a play in game. We shouldn't be wanting to emulate that.
    • Honestly this feels like a coaching problem. They have a certain "type" with "flaws" that they believe can be coached, the issue is mingo, XL, and others have not took to this "coaching". I thought the one group panthers would excel in would be WR, given Dave, brad, and Moore backgrounds( WR coach was a solid NFL WR). Just a wealth of WR coaching, but........ I also feel BYs confidence in XL is one of the main issue, its their relationship. I think BY trust the following- tremble, Tmac, Coker and that's all(maybe new Metchie) . There was a vid and XL and BY were repping together. I do feel if you put XL with about any of the top QB, you'd see some good numbers at times and you'd see a NFL WR.
    • It's cooled off because teams are coming out and pressing them and fouling them 35ft out, the backup Knicks are holding jerseys and getting away with it and that's been a repeating theme over the last few weeks.    Teams are coming out and applying pressure closer to halfcourt, playing tough physical defense, grabbing jerseys and the like to get them out of rhythm and it's been effective.
