Hurney was ass at drafting. He got too much credit for taking the easy selections because we were always picking in the top 10.

By the way Burns is overrated. He has little to no impact on the defense when it matters.  

That's all I have to say about that.

The only reason we got Burns is because Daniel Snyder forced the pick of Haskins. Montez Sweat ended up going to them with their 2nd 1st round pick. Otherwise it would have been Greg Little in the 1st because Burns wouldn't have been there.

Jesus Christ that is terrible. Typical Hurney draft. Hit on the first rounder and completely whiffed with guys who couldn’t make it on a practice squad the rest of the way.

I remember people in this very forum saying that Will Grier and Scarlett weren't gonna do poo in the NFL. Next time people say that you can't criticize NFL FO's because they "know better", point them to Marty Hurney.

When your praise for a draft class includes Dennis Daley, then it's a bad draft.

Hurney hit on the first pick and whiffed on the rest. Kinda typical of him.

His only saving grace as a draft evaluator is that he generally did well to great with that first pick. From there it gets iffy to tragic. I do think the problem went beyond Hurney and into the depths of our entire scouting department. And that worries me, because we seem to be just as iffy now.
