Me neither--Bold statement of the day:  Luvu will make us not miss Reddick much.  He is more versatile, imo and much cheaper.

Riddick has been MIA since mid season last year. He's another one trick pony that is a LB pretending to be a DE.  But he's fast so there's that.

Carter sucked. He was often out of position.

Luvu was a decent move but I feel like he was the beneficiary of circumstance more than an actual difference maker. Like he didn't get a ton of playing time on defense but he made the most of what he did get. So hopefully if he gets more time he can continue that success, but it could be a gamble.

Great special teams player though.

It is a gamble, but not as much as signing a high-priced free agent coming off a great year.  I see your point and you are not wrong.

Yep.

Yep.

Amazing we didn’t overpay. Good deal here so how did we not manage to get Thomas to a good value deal? I think Gonzalez had a much bigger impact for us than Thomas did last year. If Tremble played all of Thomas’ snaps, we would not have lost a step. If Gonzalez got hurt, we likely would have suffered.

Yeah, didnt' this guy account for something close to 100% of the offense last year?

Carter had potential, he played well as a back up but this year he sucked. Good back up, that’s it. I know Luvu had great PFF scores and did well but only in limited time. Would he be as good if he was full time or is he only a good situational player?

    • I miss many of the OGs like @ladypanther Zob had a bad off week and came in here to do some mopping and a couple of the 10 year 15k post account he just banned over a silly disagreement, just odd behavior from Zob. A Pessimal deal happened with Lady and others. I tired to find a new forum and could not get around the signing up part...same for discord. Its not perfect here by any means, but I still feel welcomed here for the most part and this place does have the most freedom. I hate how the right vs left BS nearly cooked this place, I still believe in removing the litterbox, toxic as hell and lollolols @ anyone coming into a team forum to talk about pointless politics of the uni party turds.  @Bear Hands you saved this place with your activity. It helped offset the lost of OGs and the knowledgeable that leftd.    It would help for new members and I do get the spammers deals, just got to mod them away and hope opening the door brings in fresh blood.
    • Young went to bama and Brissett went to nc state.
    • That seems about right. No higher than that for a bottom third qb with two years left, including one expensive year. He played well enough last year to show he is startable. It depends on whether other teams thought he has any upside left and whether he's been hindered by coaching and surrounding cast. I think most teams would answer no, but if they thought he could step it up just a little I could see trading a fourth or fifth for a bridge guy/top tier backup.
