Tepper spent TWO offseasons trying to court this guy and he signs with a divisional rival

NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY FOR YOUR OWN FOOTBALL TEAM TEPPER BESIDES PPL JUST CASHING A CHECK! NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE PANTHERS ANYMORE, MOVE THE TEAM TO ST LOUIS SO PETER NAVARRO CAN START OVER IN CHARLOTTE

True about the people that actually said they'd stop rooting. It'll be interesting to see how the Falcons if they land Watson, deal with a whole season of PR with not only the upcoming Watson civil cases and probable suspension, but also blindsiding their clean cut veteran QB of 13 years or whatever. Probably hoping no one will remember in 5 years if they're actually good

If I had to guess they’ll probably mention it some but then move on as quickly as possible. The nfl will want this over quick for the sake of their image.

We can’t be that lucky.

Been a fan of this team since the beginning and I've never been so furious with the Panthers organization then I have been since January 2020! I've decided to vote with my wallet and not buy any Panthers merchandise, invest time and always wanting to go watch them play in person which I've never have done, watch there games on Tv until i see changes and a direction of improvement and progress on the field and in the Organization!

I hope they don't get back in the race. I'll be happy when Watson is traded. Until then there is the chance Tepper does something dumb. Watson would have been a disappointment. Rather face him than Matt Ryan or any other playoff worthy QB.

Now, here's hoping the Panthers dodge another bullet by not wasting their 1st round pick on the overhyped 2022 QB prospects.

I don’t think they can get back in the race right?

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
