so was will grier and grier was a heisman candidate at one point of time, but that didn't slow down the criticism of the pick.  Lets see this guy play a NFL season or two before we go too gaga over what he means for the future of this cursed team of ours.   Personally I was a bit concerned when I saw  the ABC story about how much he loves pancakes and syrup.  Not exactly the breakfast of champions and harkens back  to another first round OT we picked.

With our line now I expect us to tote the rock with Foreman and put CMC in the slot or out of the backfield. Bring in Hubbard for change of pace. Mix in quick hitting passes and you have an offense which makes anyone look good, even Darnold. Then play action really works and if you can protect on longer routes you can keep defenses guessing.

      You seem to be missing some stats.  You state that in the past 10 years only 18% of 1st rounders become franchise QBs. We need to know how many QBs have been drafted in the next 6 rounds and what percentage of those have become franchise QBs?

      PFF grades aren't based on total stats.  In their simplest form they are based on a player's ratio of good snaps to bad snaps. Evens is playing in about a third of the snaps.   Carolina Panthers 2025 Snap Counts | Pro-Football-Reference.com Warren is playing in over 80% of the snaps. Indianapolis Colts 2025 Snap Counts | Pro-Football-Reference.com If Evens is only playing 20 snaps and being asked to block on 18 of them and does a good job blocking on the majority of those and then catches his two targets his grade is going to be really good.  The team is using him in a limited role playing to his strengths.

      IF they had 64 analyst that would be 2 per team.  One could take offense; one could take defense.  Roughly 100-150 plays a game, let's call it 140 that would be 70 plays each.  Coach's film has no downtime between plays so to watch 70 plays would take about 10 minutes.  Even if you watched each play 11 times to focus on each player thats 110 minutes, less than two hours. That leaves 22 more hours to really take your time.  Seems very doable.
