Bills tried to trade for CMC?

I’m sure he was available but you’re gonna have to pony up. People claim “I would trade him for a 2nd in a heartbeat” then turn around and bitch and moan we only got a 2nd.

As if Rhule would be willing to give up the hope of having CMC on the field...

Anti-Rhule bias aside, the OL improvements and QB choice would really make CMC deadly if he remains healthy. A huge if but, depending on the offer, he's a great player to have.

Bills with CMC and Allen would be hard to beat. Would like to know what the Bills offered.

If we're gonna be utilizing more RPO under Corral, then not trading CMC is correct. The threat of CMC can be felt on every snap in a new way, should lead to big plays for us.

I wouldn't be against trading him at all but we would need some relief from that dead cap nuking.

Also, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to claim to want to be a road grading, run it down your throat offense and then get rid of the only elite running weapon at your disposal.

Fitt just mentioned Dj Moore and CMC being used like Deebo. To me, when we had those 2 and Curtis doing those reverses and etc, we were real hard to defend. I recall plenty of times where the camera was confused where the ball was. If the RPO element is utilized and adding these aspects... the whole team benefits deeply.

It worked out. We would have taken Corral with their 1st. Now we have Corral and CMC. If we had come away with no QB this year I’d be pissed. Guessing Beane wasn’t parting with multiple 1sts. If that was the offer then it’s hard for me to believe Fitt turned down the picks and potential cap savings.

We are finally building him an OL. Let’s see if he can stay healthy behind Icky, Moton and company. Plus he provides a nice safety net for a young QB like Corral’s development.

I'm counting on, with a better O-line, that CMC stays healthy all season.  He won't be fighting for first level holes against large defensive fronts, they'll be there.

IMO, the biggest issue on him is mileage. I hope we actually try to limit his touches to some extent.

Considering that he pulled up lame last season instead of getting a contact injury, I agree with @kungfoodude, it's mileage more than contact at this point.
