Will David Tepper admit he made a mistake when he finally fires Matt Rhule?

I’ll take signs learning a mistake vs admitting a million times over

realize you aren’t qualified to hire coach and bring in some people

stop with the 5-7 year bullshit like, look around…no franchise says that let alone believes it - it’s completely asinine. every fuging body knows 3 years is the norm for results or gtfo

it’s also the norm NOT to go after college coaches because history shows is almost always a complete crap shoot

lastly, a proper rebuild starts with not doing much to win. There are two main blue prints to success in the NFL and it’s not a secret, 1. Get that high picks for a franchise qb and 2. Build a super elite team and plug in an aging qb vet or game manager.

that’s it. Seriously. Stop trying to be a path maker. You’re not that smart. This isn’t your speciality, Tep (surprise). Stop defying what everyone else is and has been doing.

I get it everyone wants to be special and different, problem is…99% are NOT. This is what I need Tep to admit…to himself. do what’s proven and spend your efforts on doing it better than anyone else. Please for the love of god

I mean, I don't know what you're expecting. I have yet to see any owner in NFL history make a grand proclamation that they fuged up by hiring the wrong guy. It's just kinda accepted. There's no need to say it, because everyone already knows it.

It also doesn't really serve any practical purpose. Most fans are just happy that a bad HC was fired and are eager to move on.  There's no need to waddle in the failures of the past.

I don't think Rhule gets fired even with a bad season on the current. I have an uneasy feeling that it will take two more bad seasons to get Rhule fired and if we end up a 9-8 type thing it may take even longer. I think Tepper is pretty hard headed and will ride a ship all the way to the bottom of the ocean if he has to in order to explore every avenue before proclaiming he made a mistake. I think Rhule is with us for at least two more seasons especially due to the fact that somehow we end up around 8-9 or 9-8 and Tepper will consider it moving in the right direction.

Stop pretending like it was a choice between a success and a failure. The other hot hire in the cycle was Judge, and a assume that is not what you call a success?

Mediocre team without a QB in a division the Tom Brady decided to make his home. Tell me ove available coach he should have hired that would have been a success before you start to tell about admitting mistakes. Sometime all your options are shitty.

And if you think I'll defending Rhule, reread the first sentence.

    • Oh please with the wallowing in victimhood I'm going to take my ball and go home routine. You were just in here referring to people as super weird haters because they don't completely agree with your borderline delusional spin on what Bryce Young is and isn't as a fourth year starter. We can hope by some miracle that Bryce Young will actually be able to lead a formidable passing offense this season without being irrational homers and pretending verfiable data and what we have seen with our own two eyes doesn't tell us exactly what he has been to this point which is someone who moves the ball at a historically low rate.
    • I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.
    • I say positive things about Bryce when he earns them. Which he has a handful of times. It is all here and on the record but your lobby won’t focus on that or the flat out truth inside of our critical comments.  It is a constant thing with him and his backers - one or two good things and people are trying to extrapolate that to proof we should commit to him, while ignoring or making excuses for the larger portion of his track record.  When he is able to consistently turn in franchise QB extension worthy outings the tone of the posts will reflect that.  I have already said that if he would play like he did in the WC as often as we need him to, I would be okay with keeping him.  See you don’t want to talk about that though because it shows actual fair minded evaluation not stanning.
