Well that just further reinforces my decision to not put forth any additional effort to watch this team.  If they come on a national broadcast Ill watch.  Otherwise Ill catch them as I can on RedZone.

lol I've watched Redzone only for the entire Rhule era..... I always tell people "if they do something, I'll see it"....

Not sure I can buy that as much as I buy that he is buying the BS Rhule is spewing because Tepper really doesn't know very much about football.

I don't think that is a small thing to overlook, that he really has extremely limited football knowledge but still meddles in the football operation side of things.

His not knowing football doesn't bother me.

Him thinking he knows football does.

Trying to take myself away from a fan perspective.  I can see (not agree, just see the personal justification) how Tepper would give Rhule a 3rd year.  If he had fired Rhule after two it could look like Tepper is a hot head and doesn't give his guys a chance, potentially negatively impacting the ability to lure top tier coaching talent.

That said, we are a couple games in, and anyone can see that this team is in disarray with no signs of the staff being able to overcome the issues that have haunted them since the regime took over. Ten wins and stats say if you score 17 points Carolina lays down.   Better line talent, better QB talent, seasoned NFL staff members and the product on the field is basically the same.  If (actually when) we continue to struggle, I don't think Tepper should have any misgivings about moving forward with a change.  If Tepper is going to be "patient" with Rhule, I think that is likely to be measured based on games rather than seasons.

    • The #Panthers explored the possibility of adding Jaire Alexander, but there was never an offer made, a league source told @theobserver.   https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1935436577649401872?s=46
    • Yes I agree, the future RT could easily be christ. When he shocking re-signed here for the cheap, he said part of the reason was the OL coaching staff.  I've already thought too much about 2026. The RT has all the options, including resigning Motown. I was never a big fan, but he's solid and peptides and stem cells can fix a gippy knee. If he makes it though this year and wants to return, why not for 2 years 16 million?? Or like you said give the job to Christ or draft your RT...... that I feel is the best current method. With both OGs in the 20 million per cap range and Icky......ooooooooooo boy he could be the first 30 million per OLmen in NFL history. That's a huge portion of cap space for the OL, which I agree with, but in order to offset those 20 and 30 million deals... you need cheap rookie contracts. (unless Motown would take a huge pay cut and whoever the C will be).  This is the deepest OL I can recall in Panthers history.  I believe Morgan should try and trade either Kingston or Zavala.  I didn't even talk about Yosh, Tarquin, or Walton. Yosh is same age as christ and why not him as RT after good swing tackle years? Tarquin is a UDFA on the prayer program, 150,000 in guarantees and why not him in 2026? Walton seems to be a OL coach favorite, he followed the Tampa Bay staff here after 2 years there and add in one year here, he's stuck around for some reason. I think they need to spend very light on RT and Panthers have lots of options, I love it.
    • That better not be the case. They need to be ready week 1. The easiest part if their schedule is the first few fames
