Some of y’all are losing it.

Lobbying against the best QB in the upcoming draft because he ‘might get injured.’ Now complaining when we received significant draft capital for a player who actually has been injured most of the last two years.

The same people would be losing their poo if he were to get hurt at some point in the next 11 games and saying we should have traded him for whatever we could get.

I look forward to the day Fitterer is fired

Isn’t this what you wanted? All this should have seemed inevitable the day Matt Rhule was fired. And if I remember correctly, you were one of the engineers on the “Fire Matt Rhule” train. So embrace it, love it, and feel proud that you got what you wanted.

The truth is that good, and great players will not sit through two rebuilds as it diminishes their value, or capital potential for a new contract after the current one expires.

It should be apparent to you, and everyone else, that this offense that the next coach will build will be open to any style that they prefer and may be completely different to what they have played over the past four years.

I assumed people would be ok with getting decent picks for an of injured running back.

Think people wanted the first.   Value looked to be there given what we got.

So it’s only natural that it stirs up our GM’s tendency to value quantity over quality with draft picks.

all the “mock drafts are more important than players” people will be happy but as we saw with fitterer’s original draft here-a pointless slew of mid round picks a good football team does not make

this was just fitterer chasing his own tail trying to rectify the mistakes he made

”we can’t have just four picks!”

lol you’re the one that gave them away. Take your medicine.

this honestly reminds me of the post lockout spending spree.

What would've been the point of us grinding down and already injury prone CMC into the dirt the remaining 11 games when we know we are going to keep losing and further hurting his trade value and while having him being the highest paid RB in the league. The free agent RB class this year is super deep, and you can sign someone for pennies on the dollar compared to what we would've been paying CMC and probably receive similar production. Then there's the draft which always has late round starting RB's come out every year. Despite how great of a player CMC is it's the modern NFL and RB's are a dime a dozen.

    • I'm super excited about the guys we're getting back, and fortunately this year, outside of Robert Hunt, we haven't had any season-threatening injuries. Rico has earned the start, but I am excited to have both available.  The team is finally turning into the run-first team Canales said he wanted to be. As for JT Sanders, I think he has lost the most be being out. He is probably our best receiving TE, but with the emergence of Mitchell Evans & with him and Tommy Tremble both absolutely balling in run blocking, it will be hard to fix something that isn't broken. I'm hoping Turk Wharton can help with our pass rush. We really havent gotten to see him much due to injuries, but we desperately need anyone to provide some pass rush juice, which is what he was brought to do. I'm the most excited about Jalen Coker returning. Theilen may have been the most clutch last year, but I've watched a lot of film, and Coker was the most consistent WR we had when he was out there last year.  I think he can be an ideal #2 to Tmac. While Coker doesn't have the raw athleticism XL does, his route running, savvy, and overall football IQ simply make him better.  I think with the fact Coker can play both outside and in the slot will give our pass game more versatility.  We have been running a lot of 2 TE sets, and I think Tmac & Coker should be the primary WRs for 12 personnel. The other WRs (XL, Tremayne, Renfrow, & Horn) all have roles, but I dont think any of them can fully replace what Coker can do. I do think Renfrow will be inactive this week if everyone is healthy bc of how valuable Tremayne is for ST and as a run blocker. So happy that we are playing meaningful football heading into November. We are still almost certainly a year away, but we are absolutely moving in the right direction
