Tepper does have his positives

I just saw the above reported. This is one thing we won't have to worry about as long as Tepper owns the team. We saw this first hand with Rhule.

If he is too inept to be involved to be in the hiring process yet too stupid or egotistical to recognize this, on top of not knowing how the NFL works, what does it matter?

So you're mad how Tepper handled the rock hill project?

I guess it would be pretty cut and dry, if the other partners in that project upheld their end of the deal, but they did not.  So now Tepper be damn for protecting his and the Carolina Panthers interest?

Sounds like hypocritical bullshit to me.

Not sure why the rich have to be hated so much.

Have you read the legal contract documentation and bankruptcy filings regarding the Rock Hill and Tepper situation?

Yeah but what about Rock Hill?

One of the weird things about billionaires is how often they're willing to waste their own and everybody else's time fighting over sums of money completely trivial to them for spite.

IMO when you're a billionaire, you should stop thinking about money and start thinking about time. It's the nonrenewable resource that is far more finite to you than money is at that point.

Tepper is just screwing himself and everyone else by being petty over Rock Hill.

Of the younger owners (relatively speaking), I'd like him to model things like a Biscotti or Kroenke who similarly purchased their way into the league instead of family inheritance but they didn't place themselves as a Jones type czar.

He honestly just needs to find his version of Roseman, Les Snead or Ozzie/DeCosta.  I'm unsure if Fit and/or Dan can really elevate into the Executive GM type role, but who knows, maybe it clicks.  That's the missing part on the football side IMO.  He needs to find his trusted right hand (or two) and we're kind of in a TBD with Scott and Morgan right now.  Internally, I'm guessing there really doesn't feel to be a need for an executive between them and Tepper given he's a bit more hands on.  Just hope he owns up to the need if it becomes apparent there's a gap in structure.

On the non-football side of things, Kristi Coleman and Nicole are running the show on paper/from what we know, likely with DT's heavy hand.  That's where overall, I just hope he doesn't f*ck over the QC.

I get the sense it's a heavy guided hand, with moments of "Dammit guys, just do this now, we need it" but overall, he may be a bit more hands off on a day to day than is let on.  Rock Hill was a mess, that's really all that needs to be said, should've been elsewhere IMO.

Just turn the corner, don't screw over the city that made this possible, and you know, win.

Yeah there’s a lot to bash Tepper on but this one isn’t it. I’m not trying to defend a billionaire but the city truly did just stop paying. Tepper could’ve financed the entire project but that wasn’t the deal so I don’t blame him one bit for pulling out.

How could a billionaire with a kids bowl cut get into a situation like this?

Lolz...in Vages with a new expensive stadium. I don't feel one bit of pity for anyone dumb enough to hire McDanials as a HC with his history.

Someone needs to arrest his barber.

    • Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.
    • I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
    • From where they were one year ago to now, pretty incredible. I mean, say what you want about Vrabel he is no Jerrod Mayo.
