I just wanted to say "thank you" for being Panthers fans and for your willingness to share your thoughts here. This is probably a little corny, but I don't know many diehard Panthers fans (or whatever you would call this group). You all are the ones I come to for sharing the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, and everything in between. We disagree at times, and sometimes quite often. But I appreciate everyone who contributes to this forum and even the lurkers. Otherwise, I would be hanging out on the Panthers' FB & Twitter messaging portals for my Panthers conversations...well, maybe not. Reading some of that makes me appreciate the Huddle even more. Anyway, thank you! And now a break from the Huddle to watch some youth basketball, which can be much more frustrating than Panthers' football at times.

What manner of enchantment is this?

I have been here probably since 2003 and have never seen a post like this. Debris What GIF by NBC

Speaking of youth basketball, I'm telling y'all if you get a chance to watch Freedom High School do it. I've seen Freedom have far better teams but they have two of the freakier athletes I've ever seen on a HS basketball court and I've seen a ton of D1 guys come through. The best player of the two is only a sophomore so you'll have two more years to see him unless he ends up going the prep school route which is rare for a Freedom player.

I love Corey and he was a fuging BALLER. I run into him weekly. But in terms of sheer athleticism this kid has him beat by a significant margin.

Those teams were RIDICULOUS though. That was literally a D1 college team on a HS court and they were all homegrown kids. They were the highest ranked publicly team in the country

    • I really have no clue what to expect sunday.  To quote one of my favorite bands of all time, Operation Ivy "All I know is that I dont know".  We could win, hell we could win convincingly, we also could lose in blowout fashion.  We could be in a back and forth game with whoever has the ball last winning.  I legit HAVE NO CLUE.  This isnt the dominant bills teams of the past, Allen is still elite and can win any game by himself.  That said, heres my stab at looking at things. Our defense is made to stop this kind of team.  Strong against the run, a great corner but meh talent around the field.  We've stopped prolific run offenses this season.   Javonte Williams - Season low yards and ypa against us. De'Von Achane - Season low yards and ypa against us Breece hall - 3rd worst yards in a game Fact of the matter is, we arent what we were last year, we are a good run defense and that lines up well against the bills, Stop the run.  For once the lack of moving Jaycee might be a good thing, he will essentially lock down a side and without multiple real weapons thats fine.  Buffalo does not have an elite guy, theyve got a gaggle of average dudes.  Allen will stay away from Jaycee, it will be on Mike Jack and Chau Smith Wade do to their part and they will be matched with guys they can play at the level of. On offense, we do what the bills are bad at.  We run the ball well, and they suck at stopping the run.  Rico and Chuba will need 30 carries.  Andy Dalton will need to be opportunistic.  My big fear is what we learned last year, Dalton can get overconfident and make bonehead throws.  Its this simple.  Run the ball, stop the run.  Dont turn the ball over.  If we do these 3 things, we will be in a position to win in the 4th quarter.
    • This makes me wish we took a flyer on Quinn Ewers late in the draft
    • He has been a good player and clean player over the years. I don’t follow that close but think he was closing in on setting his resume for his place in the all time rankings. I am sympathetic to him becaus this will hurt him there.
