TE: Sam LaPorta could end up the best TE in this class and has crazy upside.  He brings it all.  Definitely my new favorite, dare I say, even over Musgrave and Washington.

EDGE: A huge second to Felix Anudike-Uzomah.  His pass rushing skills are legit.

RB: Tyjae Spears for an all-around pass catching running back to compliment either Jamaal or D'onta

WR: Hands down, Andre Iosivas outside the top guys.  He's a non-dropsies Christian Watson.  Do not mind Tanke Dell, Rashee Rice or Tyler Scott one bit either, but Iosivas would be a great outside guy.

IDL: Keeanu Benton out of Wisconsin.  As hard-nosed lineman as they come out of a school that produces the gritty, big boys.

Agree. I’ve been saying Laporta is TE3 for a while.

Brian Branch is another guy I have high on my non-QB wish list.

had never heard of him before this post...6'3'', 4.43 speed, huge catch radius, great hands....coming out of the Ivey league, that will be an adjustment, but sounds like a great pickup in 4th or 5th

LaPorta for sure but, that one handed catch by Washington on the corner route at the combine gave me the ‘tingles’.  Would be thrilled with either and LaPorta should be available at 39.

Question is, how do we wrangle both LaPorta and Uzo?  I want them both.

Yeah that's the hard part knowing one of our 2nd could likely be gone.

My best guess would be more movement and keeping 39 somehow.  A slight trade down from 39 to the 40s, gain an extra mid rounder.  Leverage our capital to move higher into the 3rd.  Would be hard.  Can easily do it on simulators but highly unlikely in reality.

For a later round EDGE that's pretty refined from a pass rush standpoint, extensive moveset, run-D isn't bad either, I'd also throw a shoutout to Villami Fehoko from San Jose State.  NFL blood, Vea & Fehoko family.

6'3 265, really nice burst, quick feet, Mountain West DPOY.  Can push lineman but easily move fluidly around the field.

    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
    • I think it's because we've had a player to hate on NO (Breese) and Atl (Ryan) while Tampa had Winston who was never really a threat or dislikable like the other 2
    • yeah. it was also reported that Brown was taking it light today because of oblique soreness. Sounds like the 2 of them were a bit too rough with each other for practice.
