I will admit, I love the diehard fandom homers give toward Cam. Respect. You will die on your rock.

Meanwhile, like any diva WR in recent history who makes a scene on social media or in public, other NFL fans want to steer clear. Teams too. Cam is no different IMHO.

But yeah, you guys keep backing your boy no matter what. Props.

not a real fan if cam isn't your boy, imo.

Clearly not willing to take a back up roll and accept reality at this point in his career.  Love the good years he gave us, but he never was able to transition to being a pocket passer due to injury and accuracy issues.  The history of the league is littered with guys who were great in college and their early years, but never made the next step when their feet slowed down with age.  I don't know even if not injuring his shoulder if Cam would have ever been able to stand back and sling it with consistent accuracy.  He would abandon his footwork far too often.  Hard to coach those instincts out when they have been part of a players make up and gave them success based off of elite athleticism for all of their early playing days and careers.  He was the best athlete on the field most of his life.

It's not baffling if you know why they hate Cam.

Amazing to me that the people who don't laud compliments on Cam and totally agree with the the folks that believe he was the greatest are called haters and implications immediately made of why they don't feel that way.  If you think he was the greatest more power to you.  Everyone is entitled to an opinion without it being something else.

His arm is shot when he's playing a starting role. His arm is pretty good until it starts inevitably wearing down as he plays more games. He could absolutely thrive in a Taysom Hill role still today.

If Cam had Andy Dalton 's personality and the signing of him would be a non-story after the initial headlines (and he was willing to settle for a role that isn't entrenched starting QB) he'd be on a roster.

If Cam had Daltons personality, he wouldn’t have won the Heisman and MVP.

    • It's amazing how much yall can say the same things over and over and not annoy yourselves with it.
    • If you only look at measurables, Mingo and Legette might seem similar.  But when you actually look at them and watch them play, they aren't close to the same.   And this is coming from someone who is skeptical about Legette, although ultimately I believe he will work out.  I've just always disagreed with the comparisons to Mingo.   Mingo tests better than he plays/runs, whereas Legette plays/runs as well as he tests.
    • As bad as things were with the Panthers last year, we still had 4 other games outside of the 2 we won that we came very close to winning.  Could throw the Falcons game in there too, it was tied going into the 4th. I'm not really sure what to expect this year.  I don't think we'll make the playoffs.  However, we play in a very weak division where no team has a standout QB.  On paper, our OL should be good, and could be great if Ikem improves.  That alone could help mask a lot of problems on offense.  Should allow us to run the ball better.  Even if Bryce doesn't improve, the OL should at the very least give him more time to make the easy throws underneath and let a guy like Legette work his magic after the catch. And I think this defense in a 2nd year with Evero should, at the very least, be in the top 16.  I'm expecting our run defense to be as good as it has been in years. I think this team could push for 7-8 wins.  But it could also finish with 2 wins again.  That is just how the league works.  Jets offense was miserable last year, and yet they still won 7 games.   We won't really get a good feel of it until after the preseason, and even then, who knows.
