The team won't even tell our new number 1 WR who we're drafting, but I'm sure this girl who cares more about fake social justice than football knows the truth.

Where do you guys even get this stuff lol

If the Panthers really are interested in dropping down a spot, there would be a lot to gain by making the Texans believe they are taking Young. I doubt they are willing to drop more than 1 spot. AZ isn't moving up so that means IND and that might mean they would be stuck with a 4th choice if AZ trades down. That isn't happening.

Y’all need to stop with the Houston talk, we aren’t getting anything for that madden draft swap let alone a ransom

Stroud or Young I’m good so long as if it fails Tepper empties the building, hires helps, and doesn’t cling onto any staff or GM like he loves to do

if he succeeds he will be on a, albeit unnecessarily long, road to redemption

lastly for those thinking Reich is some sort of qb guru, might want to check his recent past evaluating qbs….not sure where you all get that from. He’s made very questionable calls.

I mean, I could be wrong, but I told y'all early that if we move up to one it would likely be for Young.

I remember telling you this and then you repeated it, taking credit.  It was an ugly scenario.

No, I remember you saying it.  It caused me to take a deeper look into Young, and I watched one analysis that sold me on the pick--he was at the LOS, calling line blocking schemes and changing the play---very sophisticated--demonstrates elite processing.

You have to be careful about the workouts because the best QBs are rarely the best athletes.  the reason?  They must be the best processors first.  I think Stroud is going to be great and I would not mind taking him, but if this group of coaches thinks Young is the real deal, then who am I to argue with them?

A few hints that have been stated along the way:

The comparison between a QB and a point guard.

Comments that his size does not bother them.

Basic descriptions about what they are looking for in a QB--and they praised Bozeman and Thielen recently about their positivity and character--it matters a lot to them.  Not that any of the top QBs have character concerns, but Bryce is beloved by his teammates--even the Georgia Bulldogs talked about what a great guy he is---leadership matters.

The Panthers certainly would be an outlier if they did not have Young as QB1, given from a variety of sources most of the league has him at top. I'd say from a preliminary standpoint, the Panthers traded up likely with Young in mind, and unless somehow something changes their mind in the next month, I'd say they're pretty much zero'd in on him.

There is another giveaway that demonstrates how highly regarded Young is in terms of respect around the league.  The Texans reportedly offered their 2024 first round pick to Chicago to move up.  Reportedly, they loved Young.

Keep in mind, as stated on NFL Network, that SF in 2021 originally traded up for an Alabama QB--Jones--and during the time between the trade and the draft, fell in love with Lance.

Romeo was madly in love with Roseline before he met Juliet and forgot all about her. In other words, Shakespeare understood the NFL Draft.

While we know that Young is an incredibly smart player, that does not mean Stroud is not.  I am sure that the Panthers will know the answers to their questions in due time.

    • And remind y’all that Rico Dowdle ran the ball 7 times on Monday.
    • I didn't want to pay him and they should have traded him before the 20+ million in dead cap. I feel this is another "blame tepper", he wanted a QB and Panthers only had 4 draft picks. CMC got a bad health report and missed games, but league still valued him and he was the best player on the team. Shitttttterererererererer traded him for 4 future picks, the future 2nd ended up being 61st........so all the other draft picks in 5th 4th were next to last, just a mistake. Yes 49ers at the time looked cook, but CMC helped them reach the SB. Used that 2nd and 3rd in the BY and DJ Johnson trades.....just awful returns. It was dirty to wilks to trade CMC while he was trying to make the playoffs, best I member the run game got better after the trade....   Im just one of those "never pay RB, safety, or MLBs" unless cheap/all world. CMC is not all world, but he's dang close.  Poorly handle, he bought a big home and thought he'd remain a career panther....Herniay made him the 16 million man, tops by 4 full million and no RB passed that mark for 2 years, God dam fug you herniay.  Im anti-RB, but about the last thing they should have done was trade a 1000 1000 threat that wanted to stay here, just total fumble by the Panthers/tepper/herniay/fittterererererererere per normal for this time-line.
