DJ had a great start to be our all time leading WR. (I didn’t say best, that’s Smitty). He’s a total professional. I hate that we had to let him go. I don’t think he’s even at his peak yet. 
 

That said. A WR needs a QB to throw the ball. So we did what we had to do.

I do believe the Panthers would've preferred to keep Moore, but remember that anything an agent says is intended to make their clients look as valuable as possible, directly impacting their own income.

I wish him the best, but I'm actually much happier having Thielen and Chark along with TMJ, Shi Smith, and Shenault. With Hayden Hurst at TE, I think that's a very balanced group of receivers.  It's great to have an elite receiver, but you don't want a rookie trying to force what's not there to a "#1" receiver.  The best offenses I have ever seen have been good at spreading the ball around.
