I ain't no fuggin Clemsux fan.

Dude was completely off the radar, 25 year old, 6 year, 6 sacks having ass, PAC 12 honorable mention from a school that has never produced good edges, even when Dionte Jordan was touted as the best thing since slice bread he busted as a top 5 pick.

Great UDFA signing, AWFUL trade up target with what was available.

I pray to God Evero gets him right - but by the time he even gets a jersey Evero will be a HC elsewhere.

Waste of a pick, waste of a draft capital.

Not that it's relevant, but they literally had Kayvon Thibodeaux drafted in the Top 5 last year.

Fans really think they have the inside scoop more than a team of scouts. Trust the front office.

Blind trust will get you burned. This guy would have been available at 93 in every multiverse and 100 draft simulations yet we lost a draft pick for him.

highlights shown on NFLN showed no burst and get off speed at all. He comes off the line like a fat kid on his third trip to the buffet line.

Scouting reports are showing his burst is his strength....

– On passing downs and out of a three-point stance, he accelerates off the line of scrimmage well for a good get-off.

– Keeps his feet moving through contact and is solid at collapsing the pocket with a bull rush.

– As a run defender, he's got pop in his hands and is strong and physical at the point of attack to help standup offensive tackles.

– Takes on blocks with a wide base, going to be hard to move one-on-one against offensive tackles.

– When playing outside shade of the offensive tackle, he can set the edge versus outside zone runs.

– Won't get blocked by tight ends.

they can have Thibodeaux, another Oaks Christian product like Corral. Kayvon was touted since middle school, he could've gone to any school in the world and got drafted top 5. He slept walked his last season at Oregon and still went top 5.

DJ Johnson AINT him.

Front office obviously feels different or they wouldn't have traded.

He’s a 3rd round pick man. If DC sees something and can make him blossom for 3 -4 years at a fringe starter level then we win and simply draft his replacement.

The team looks to win immediately. Johnson could be an immediate role player and we need someone who can stop the run.

is he better than Amare Barno?

No he is not. He is not a high character player and tends to be a hot head with little to no playmaking impact. JAG with potential that only a select few believe they can develop. He should have been a 5th round development player at best.

This FO with FItt is the same. They continue to trade up for developmental players they have no intention of using as impact players and reach with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks for players that will not be key players to win a championship. The Panthers continue to give away draft capital to other teams. Wasted championship level draft capital on QB after QB, and now this waste of draft capital.

So much for the high character BS from the organization.

Hard to get behind this one. Seems like a guy you take for his upside. But if you couldn’t dominate in your sixth season in the Pac12, how much more can you expect?

Barno has better talent..this draft is weak

But we traded up? Really?  My goodness

That wasn't what those highlights showed. But to be fair I don't watch much Oregon football last year. I watched the UGA game and some of the Utah game that I can recall. Can't say I ever noticed this guy.

Can yall quit saying "trust the staff" it's annoying as fug. Have we ever had any reason to trust any staff we've ever had to this point?

This is such an idiotic comment.  First of all - this is a new coaching staff.  Second -  you act like we’ve never had any success at all and a ton of bad drafts.  This team has quite a bit of talent, both drafted and signed via FA.  I trust that they know more about football than anyone on this board.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
