Just give it up, the Panthers will never be in Raliegh thankfully

Panthers in Raleigh would be a disaster. They can’t sell out RBC with the canes unless they are winning and NCSU is average at best unless the Heels are in town.

Charlotte sucks.

Have you been to a Charlotte FC game? It’s a party, the opposite of the Panthers games even at half the capacity.  Whoever is running the show for Charlotte FC should be handling Panthers games

Our college teams don’t seem to have problems with attendance. Granted many are students, but I think if Clemson can average 80,000 people, UNC can average 47,000 out of 50,000 capacity, and USC is averaging 90% capacity, then a professional football team in Charlotte can do much better than its doing.

it will start to change this year.

a lot of excitement in the team (except for that grumpy constipated minority that is still whining over Bryce).

this team is going to start winning games soon and will be getting a lot of love from the media because of Bryce and Reich.

just be ready, because that means an influx of bandwagon fans (which is ok because most of us were bandwagon fans at one point).

I'm ok with bandwagon fans.  (except secret patriot fans)

Much better than the "everything and everyone sucks" fans that losing brings to the board.

@RoaringRiot lead us please!

I pied this but really think this is the best and most economical way to show support.  I can't get to every game and give a lot of credit to those that can and the original PSL'ers.

I'm not a big drinker or partier so I do have some issues with Roaring Riot but the original premise that Zack and friends started is still golden.  Even if I don't attend the parties or tailgates I support "changing the culture".  A strong Roaring Riot only benefits the game day experience so I re-up every year.  Of course winning will change things also but as cheesy as a fan club may seem there was nothing like marching into the stadium "en masse" in Jacksonville on one trip.  Or marching and singing through the streets of London years ago.  Still gives me chills.

Kudos to @chknwing for bringing this topic up but would like to hear tangible solutions to how a normal fan can help bring boa back to life and I still think @RoaringRiot is a great way to contribute individually.

May or may not be that Charlotte residents are fans of other teams...I find that to be likely as it's a "new" city and a banking one at that.

Would tend to bring in a lot of NY, NJ, and DC....add in it's one of busiest/easiest airports in the US to get in and out of, and opposing fans in the stadium doesn't surprise me.

But, end of the day, we are an expansion NFL team in the South, which is dominated by college football and basketball....and not so much pro sports.

RR does a great job, and I'd recommend to everyone to support it if you can.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
