Anybody else think we are putting to much on Bryce's plate?

I love Bryce, I think he's the future, but let's not act like he has a wonderful offensive room to work with... then I remember Tepper saying well he's so good we won't have to spend money on recover we can put it into defense..(before he's even taken a snap) I'm not too sure.. I'm worried it might stunt his development he needs a guy he can grow with that's going to make those special plays and those hard plays look easy, I just think we should invest in a true star WR1 or TE

I don’t think the coaches are putting too much on his plate but I believe mant fans have unrealistic expectations out of the gate.  He has the skills and intelligence o be successful but I don’t think it will be in the form of a first year dynasty.  
 

I think the comment from Tepper was just saying you don’t need to break the bank on  top dollar FA offensive weapons if you have an elite QB.  The FO and coaches know we need good WRs one also know this group has no clear #1.  I think the team believes Marshall and/or Mingo excel this year, otherwise BY gets by with the mediocrity this season and it’s hopefully addressed next off-season

That's not what Tepper said. He hinted at being able to focus on defense in the second round.

Then they went and took a WR with the second pick. Mingo....and stated it was for Bryce to have a WR to grow with.

He's surrounded by veteren talent and quality coaches. He will be here a long time. This isn't the end of the talent aquiring for his career.

I don’t think so.  We went out and aggressively signed a good RB, a good TE, 2 good WRs, and drafted another WR pretty high.  The team did a good job surrounding him with help.  The OL is already in good shape.

OP says we need to get a guy for Bryce to grow with when we literally drafted a fringe RD 1 WR immediately after we drafted Bryce.

Bryce  Young will do just fine. From leadership to respect of teammates to taking command of the offense to understanding protections to accuracy to pocket awareness, Young checked a lot of boxes the past few months.

They started off expecting to ease Bryce into the scheme slowly and proceed at his own pace. He progressed so fast they have opened up more of the playbook accordingly. It isn't the coaches are expecting too much so much as Bryce is exceeding expectations and showing he can handle whatever they throw at him. As for talent we are running Reich's scheme and he picked his players for that scheme so no Bryc has the talent to run the offense.

I say pile his plate high. That's his strength. He's not the athletic physical specimen who got where he is by being the best athlete on the field and needs to be brought up to speed on the mental aspects

he's got one of the best QB minds the league has seen in years coming out of the gate with a high capacity for learning, grasping, and retaining all that they throw at him. that's the opinion of quite a few who have come to know him and coach him and that's the opinion that this coaching staff...this very QB centric coaching staff has come to understand about him. it's what his teammates are thinking about him.

this coaching staff knows what it's doing and they knew what they were getting when they drafted him.
