He is off the board because he is hurt.

And if Fitt trades for a hurt player I will lead the charge in burning ericcson stadium to the ground

He is the best option available and it’s a rib injury, not a torn ACL. This trade would be just as much about the next 3-4 years as it would be about this moment.

In no world would we be trading Burns for Jeudy unless they're also throwing in their 1st rounder, which they aren't giving up while looking this bad.

Jeudy has 972, 856, and 467 yards in his 3 seasons with a total of 9 TDs and has 11 catches for 158 yards and no TDs in 3 games so far this year.

He's a diva on the field when the ball isn't going his way but doesn't perform near the level required to be allowed to do that.  If he can't perform with Wilson as his QB last year and now Payton as his HC on top of that, why in the world would we expect him to become a #1 with us?

I'm not even sure I'd take him for even a late round pick, like a 5th, because the Broncos already picked up his 5th year option and has a guaranteed $13 million next year, would rather have that for free agency or available to take on a contract of a better WR in a trade this offseason.

former 2nd round pick

What does 2020 draft status have to do with player performance in the year of our lord 2023? Would you ship a first to the Giants for Isaiah Simmons?

does not break the bank on a second contract

If he's not getting paid, doesn't this indicate that he's poo? 🤔

Think very carefully before you reply.

Thought about it. Conditional sixth seems about right for the high end of any comp you'd get for him. If you called any GM in the league and asked for even a fourth, you'd get a swift hang up or a cacophony of laughter.

This is just my opinion but I'm seeing trouble on the horizon with the WR corps. Jim may love Mingo, but college level DBs stuck to him like glue. Not good. That means NFL DBs will be all over him as well. I'm not saying Mongo won't be good, but he may need to be thrown open. I think waving off DHop because we have TMJ, Chark, and 32 year old slot receiver Thielen, would seem kind of silly to me. Just my opinion. Obviously go by what the experts are saying. Not trying to invalidate or dismiss what was said on the radio.

We already knew over the summer that Fitt needed to do something and get a #1 WR. He failed. 0-6. Fire him asap.

Mark Schlereth rips---really destroys Jeudy (and Sutton to a lesser degree).

https://denversports.com/2108310/mark-schlereth-rips-effort-from-jeudy-and-sutton-would-cut-both/

“The effort from our starting wide receivers. Shame on Jerry Jeudy for even thinking he can utter the name of Rod Smith in his tweets. Shame on you, because you’re not a professional. And you don’t know what effort is. Your quarterback’s under duress, somebody locks you up in man coverage on an underneath route, and to call it trotting would be an insult to trotting. You just quit,” Schlereth said.

“Courtland Sutton not coming back to the ball. Neither of those two guys would play for me. I would cut both of those guys,” Schlereth said. “Jerry Jeudy would not be on my team. Jerry Jeudy could not play on the teams I played on if his life depended on it. He’s not tough enough, he’s not focused enough, he’s not good enough, he’s not anything enough.”

Well, at least I know why Jeudy ain't doing sh¡t in fantasy right now.

    • The year he had another edge rusher opposite him in Reddick, Reddick ended up having more sacks. Burns was good at rushing the passer here but he was taken out of plays far too often by a single TE or you'd never even known he was in the game at all.  The Rams offer was equivalent to prime Khalil Mack or a TJ Watt. Those guys single handedly took over games and stopped drives. I can't remember a game Burns ever did that. Do we wish we had the level of production hes giving right now? Of course. Do I think we'd have it here. No.  At the time, his production was on par with Reddick, not Parsons. Pay production and incentivise potential.
    • Technically our guys are in the top 6 in sacks for rookies and Scourton is tied for the lead.
    • That's why so many said he wasn't worth it here, there was only DB and it wasn't enough. If Burns is feasting then the other guys in NY are doing enough already, Burns is just collecting the stats. It's what he eas built for and is finally in his perfect space to succeed. Im not as in on the new guys yet. More is an understatement but the good news is that they are rookies.
