How did we go from 6 weeks of “Bryce is a terrible midget bust and Stroud is incredible” to squeaking by a team we are significantly better than? Unreal how much the goal posts move

Who exactly are you referring to?

Never called him a bust.

Also I have not seen the height even mentioned much anymore except almost exclusively from folks who are deeply insecure about it for some reason.

So you don't remember the talk of Bryce Young going to the best destination of all rookie QB's just this summer? You didn't think that yourself?

Speaking of goalposts moving. What happened to that "stacked" team Stroud was playing on?

Maybe things aren't as simple as we think on either side of this issue. Let's see if this staff can actually help Bryce Young develop.

Decent game by both QBs. They're rookies. They'll both get better!

But to those that argued with me 2 weeks ago about these guys having different situations and you had to watch the games to see it... do you think we have a Dell, Nico or even Noah Brown on this team? Do you still think the oline protection is even remotely the same? Agree Houston couldn't get much of a run game going today though. Overall, I still don't see CJ doing anything BY isn't.

This is why many need to understand that our team is a work in progress. Under the circumstances, Bryce played pretty good but he needs better protection and seperation from receivers. I think Bryce will continue to improve.

Also, I felt like the Young vs Stroud argument was over played. I think both will be successful in this league but we need to remember, they are both ROOKIES. Stroud has been incredibly lucky to have to a good supporting cast around him.

    • Jesus my man. Save some of the ball busting for hockey hahaha
    • Don't think your comparisons are germaine. Teddy and Bryce are nothing alike. And no I am not always right  or  wrong but the difference is I let the experts inform me and follow those who do know. And after all the constant wrong takes you go on and on about just like this one, I don't feel like we are kindred souls or like minded. I will be glad to compare my takes versus yours anytime.  And have no clue what you are talking about regarding stern lectures. But I can see around here if you take a constant negative approach to everything you get a lot of support and given our track record you may be right about some things. I don't live my life that way nor do I constant like to complain like you.
    • Never, and it doesn't have to be an old grizzled vet, sometimes a vet can learn something from a young player too.   Do you not see players talking to each other between plays, quarters, on the bench, wherever, in EVERY sport? It's what players do, especially the great ones, they're always working on their craft and learning tips from others to better themselves.   So when your entire receiving room outside of one player, who has mostly played special teams in his career, has played 1 season or less in the NFL, it's not a lot of experience there in the locker room and on the sideline and is a tad concerning in regards to the proper growth of all these young WRs with great potential.
