Says there are big changes coming to Mint street very soon. Hints at Tepper getting ready to cut bait and make some big changes.

Don't know if he knows something or just blowing smoke. If the Panthers get embarrassed on Thursday night, could that be the last straw?

Do you buy Shefter's story or not?

Ok, who does he think wants to work in this organization?   He will have to drop a serious contract to get someone decent to work for him

I thought it was the same old mcafee panthers talk: “Tepper isn’t patient blah blah blah” I swear everytime I hear them talk about Carolina, they say the same exact thing. “Tepper isn’t one to be patient”. Well, he was pretty patient with Rhule, should of fired him at the end of his first season. Is that how everyone thinks, Dave isn’t patient?

He was honestly patient with Ron and Hurney too. They stayed onboard longer than many of us as fans expected. I don't see how he has been impatient so far.

Good point I forgot about Ron and Marty, giving Marty a second chance after being interim (after being fired the first time) was bold too. Dave isn’t a good owner, but he’s not impatient. Terrible decision maker for football related things.

I recall mcafee bringing up the new headquarters in SC and pulling the plug on it as an example of him being impatient. That’s not impatient, that’s Dave just not taking any poo from people (not saying he was right just how I took the situation)

As long as Tepper is still actively involved and influencing decisions it does not matter what changes they make. In the 5-years he has been owner the Panthers have been in disarray. Each head coach has looked inept, and every offensive coach has looked terrible. Since Tepper owned The Panthers, the offense struggled with Rivera, Rhule and now Reich. It looked presentable with a ground and pound power run game but that is not sustainable in today’s NFL.
it cannot be a coincidence that this team has been terrible no matter who the coach is, or who the offensive coordinator is, or who the QB is. The one consistent since 2018 has been the owner who appears to be more involved than he should. He needs to be a silent owner…..and let the football people coach and make decisions if he really wants to win.

Problem is, we won't get embarrassed on Thursday night.  They'll miraculously click on all cylinders and play amazing and win - buying all these people more employment they don't deserve and extending our misery as fans.  It's the Panthers way.

    • He can’t even learn to run routes. No chance in hell he can do both that and pick up blocking schemes
    • Well he had essentially a 70% completion rate for almost three thousand yards.  Biggest issues were awkward and inconsistent release.  I wouldn't call arm strength bad, but not great.
    • I see him being better and most of that is a few downfield passes that were seemingly non existent.    But it is what is around him that has dictated the trajectory more than the quarterbacking. He is game manager level and unable to dictate to defenses.  And even if I am wrong and he is the reason we ‘upwarded’, we are bumping our heads on the ceiling and only making meager gains. If it is an incline it is awfully shallow degree wise. Like a finance graph that tracks your progress and hovers around the rate of inflation. Barely breaking even.  Is that where you want your money?  We make up these deadlines expectations and generally he does the minimum of what he needs to do to hang around.    It does not encourage me to believe that when we get into a game against a good run d that we cannot break down with our run game, to believe that we can pivot to the air and successfully counter their strategy.  But they run it back again. Of course I am gunshy of a repeat of the same thing we have watched for three years.    oh, and yes his durability is his most impressive positive for my money. I fear the other shoe dropping on that and the contractual consequences that will follow.   Last  of all, too late to edit my mistake here but would like to acknowledge it: the last three years has done very little to convince me that I was not wrong in not wanting him. One too many “not”s.
