Cam Newton: Tepper wants Belichick

I'm strongly against Belichick for various reasons, but one thing that could make me get more onboard with the potential move is if he could lure Dante Scarnecchia out of retirement. Scarnecchia has never put a below average OL on the field, and there is plenty of talent on the OL here to work with. I'd argue he's the greatest non-HC coach in NFL history. That would help Bryce and the offense significantly. But he's 75 and retired 3 years ago so it's a huge stretch.

Hear me now and understand me later- Belicek didn't win any SBs.

 Tom Brady did.

nah Belichick def gets the credit on the first one and probably the second against us even tho Jake outplayed him in the SB. But yeah that was 20 years ago and the game has passed him by. Dont think he would fare well here

Doesn't matter what Tepper wants. Bill can retire on his own schedule in New England and they are stinking enough to have a shot at a top QB prospect.

Why come here?

I'm not saying he wants to be here, but there is a chance that New England is ready for a fresh start.  Bill might not get the chance to coach that top QB prospect.

as you can currently see...Bilicheat isn't sht without a qb....which, is our position...

I actually agree with this, but feel that BY could be deadly in a quick strike offense.  Brady was masterful at hitting precise targets to WR running timing routes.  He did not have the biggest arm, but he was incredibly accurate.  BY has the skillset, precision and brain, to pull that off.

A 6’7” HOF Tight End wouldn’t hurt either.

I hope Tepper isn't fooled into this:

Quote

Through Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season, Belichick has a record of just 82-98 without Brady as his quarterback. That's good for a winning percentage of just . 463 and pales in comparison to what Belichick has achieved with his long-time quarterback.

    • You bring up a good point on the stability part and i would agree that probably will factor into it. But yes, Tepper does have a strong influence on who stays/goes but I still believe ultimately it'is Morgan, Tilis and Canales who will decide.
    • I can always count on yout to put things so delicately lol. I'm still not sold on the fact that Tepper will make them keep him if they don't see him as a long term answer.
    • holy poo... this thread inspired me to keep trying to guess passwords to various alts I've created over the years and I finally got in! I pretty much accepted my fate as a lurker for the last several months because I could not remember my password. I didn't realize that new users couldn't join either, that explains things. I have been around for years under several different monikers, through the good and bad. I too always find myself coming back here even with all of the new social media options for Panther fan engagement. It's simply nostalgic.   I do get extremely annoyed with the same 5-10 posters shitting on Bryce and complaining about everything. It's unfortunate that half of them are mods and that nobody new can join because now I pretty much just come on here and see Bryce / Panther slander. There is barely any positivity to be had. We all watch this team and hang on this forum for entertainment purposes only. We have no control or say in anything. I used to be such a crazy ass fan that would argue with strangers about Cam newton on the internet and at games. Now, as a father of 3, a business owner and someone with way gnarlier life problems - I like to watch football and talk about football as an escape. Not to bitch more. I really like the direction of the team and will root anyone in a Panthers jersey. I live down the street from the Rams practice facility, Matthew Stafford is currently coaching his daughters flag football team in the same program I coach my sons. I have two highly ranked Rams staff members sons on my team. The way we beat them and had them on the ropes in the playoffs has me feeling amazing, and you would think we have the next great thing in Bryce with the way they all speak of him. I'm gonna ride that high and be a delusional fan, I hope that huddle can stick around or get fixed and perhaps I will get back to posting more now that I can log in again. I will do my best to not get banned. Keep Pounding!
