Schefter has been in this business long enough and knows what will bring attention that's his whole job. He doesn't say something like that as a throwaway comment and we don't get 9 pages of people trying to say I told you so while somehow not realizing they're celebrating nepotism.

Celebrating nepotism? We are just laughing at overreactions over a photo. She has a position on the team just like Dave and it looks like she had the right idea about QBs. I’m not sure why that bothers you?? No one on here has claimed Nicole was a Stroud fan so there is no “I told you so.” that I’m aware of. Again we are just laughing at those overreacting over a photo. The posters that curse Nicole everything Young takes the field. Those are the ones who look silly now and yes it’s funny.

I mean the photo was ripe for backlash like it or not because it was paired with Tepper's own remarks. In the digital media ago it is what it is. I can't speak for Mr. Completely but I do agree he takes things too far and I don't hate either of the Tepper's. Life is too short for hatred over sports. If I did feel that way I would simply disconnect from the team. I do feel strongly however that neither of them are remotely qualified to run a football team and our only hope is that they let Dan Morgan do his job without interference or meddling. I felt the same way about Jerry Richardson and if he rightly got as much heat and criticism as he did the Tepper's have more than earned it as well.

I peep in to see what's up and ofc the Huddle would have a 10 page thread about Nicole Tepper.

Even the r/Panthers threads aren't this circular anymore.

Assuming we ever definitively find out whether the claims in the OP are true, it's not like it's going to drop tomorrow.  There won't be a memo from the desk of David Tepper that says "yeah Nicole wanted Stroud".

For better or worse Bryce is probably going to be here for a while.  I mean he could always turn out to be a serial arsonist or something and get sent on his way, but I doubt that.

So he paid Shefter to make him look bad/dumb? The same Tepper we claim is an ego maniac who can't help himself?

Y'all are something else lol.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
