What still needs to happen for you to be genuinely excited about next year?

I saw the videos today. Panthers still getting crushed in the media because it’s low hanging fruit.

personally I think we are on the right track. Every move we have made has logic. Brian burns hurts but I think it was a dead end and we got what we could. Blame the old regime.

my question is, what would it take you based on what has happened in the past 3 days for you to be genuinely excited for next year?

I think all of our expectations are tempered appropriately so I’m not thinking Super Bowl. But what will it take for this team to be fun to watch again, and knock on wood maybe even fight for a division title or wild card spot.

for me, if we can land 2 starter caliber DEs (preferably Clowney) and a legit safety (Justin Simmons) then I’m sold on FA.

Then as far as the draft goes, best WR and best center for our 2nd rounders followed by BPA the rest of the draft.

Fix the holes they created and address the obvious.

Center with starting experience...ie Connor Williams

2 Edge Rushers to play opposite each other... hell I don't care if you bring back Efe Obada ...just get some bodies in there.

Add another ilb and corner for depth atleast.

Sign Jordan Fuller and Franklin

Grab 2 Wr's in the draft(this is the draft for that) ... target Wiley from TCU at TE late in the draft.

Mind you, all of this can be done. Probably won't but very possible.

    • He just did haul in an almost identical ball a couple weeks ago. Throw it to the right place he probably catches it.  Btw, Tet has something like 6 drops and isn’t catching any flak for it. And I’m not saying he should but going by the hyper critical nature of many posters, that is a little telling.  So I look it up… Tet has something like 98 targets. I just closed the link but from memory. 6 drops. Legette has 53 targets and 2 drops. Math says Legette’s drop rate is lower than Tet’s.  The more you know.    Spare me the cracks about feet in bounds, all that stuff. He wasn’t on the sideline.
    • That is largely based on how difficult it is to sweep a division home and away matchup. Because we probably would have to do that.  Doubt we’d be favored in either one.
    • He is already good with a very limited offense and QB. I think he deserves the award (so far) and further, think he has a great mentality and attitude.  He isn’t a diva, at all that I see. He was a great pick.
