I did not like the legette pick but I like this one. Brooks was very good until he got hurt. He’s not Bijan but he’s going to be a versatile bell cow RB.

From what I heard he was doing better than Bijan until he got hurt. Was like 13 yards from Bijan’s yards when he got injured.

Where are these Debbie Downers coming from?  Are they Cicadas?  You get the best RB in the draft vs. the 10th best CB. I wanted the LB.  However, a RB that can catch better that Chuba, block better than Chuba, and run better than Chuba--behind our new guards---I see it.

All good points. Very fair. I think there is some ho-hum about it being a rb in the 2nd round. The trend has been to find them later. We did need a rb though.

Lol he's already hurt.  Lol debbie downer

Are you under the impression that he needs to suit up next week?  You do realize the season starts in 5 months and he will be cleared July 1---right?  Stewart was drafted during his surgery.  In the first round.  He was a good player.  Point?

Yep.

We wanted a better offense. We got two shiny new guards. Get a better run game than two punch of Chubbard and fugging Sanders and let the run game start evolving better.

I like the idea of getting the best player in the draft at a position.

However, he said he *might* be ready to go by training camp.

For a rookie, that’s not what you want to hear if you need a starter.

There is something to be said for that, but also we all laughed at the Falcons last night.

Well there’s something to be said about spending a mid second on a soon to be starting RB vs spending a top ten pick on a QB that won’t see the field for 2+ years

    • I saw the list, agree Minshew would be on the list of possible guys as well as the rest of the list.  Mac Jones would probably be the highest possible target though that would require a trade. All that said, heres a darkhorse that I wouldnt be surprised...Carson Wentz.  I know he looked rough his last time out, however he was clearly pretty dangerously injured and kept playing through it.  When he was healthy in Minnesota he looked pretty fricken good.  Last full season he started he threw for 3500, 27td, 7 INT.  He did start the next season for a washington team running a scheme that does not fit him.  I think the things that Canales is looking for his QB to do, that Wentz does well.   Wentz however with his age would not be any kind of long term solution, a decent backup but more like actual competition would be needed to go into the season.
    • This reads as someone trying to suggest changes while treading lightly so Daddy Tepper doesn’t come down too hard on them.  Because flatly, the problem is Bryce.  I don’t think Canales is a perfect coach, but you can see the limitations in what can be called, what is called, and the amount of times Bryce fugs up plays all by himself.  Someone brought up the bootlegs being useless because there is always a free defender rushing - think about how different that play looks with a 6’2”+ QB with a strong arm and mobility.  I can’t count the number of times Bryce has thrown and missed bc he can’t see, it gets deflected, he chucks it away, or his patented run and fumble just on bootlegs and roll outs.  By percentage of those plays per player I have ever watched, Bryce has more negative plays WITHOUT A fuging DOUBT than anyone I have ever watched before.  Like an uncanny ability to fug up the simplest of things.  I have never seen anything like it.  And then, as I mentioned in the other thread, when you string those seemingly one-off plays together, and those stack over the course of a game, poo looks really disjointed.  It is Bryce.  Enough of this nebulous ass “something’s afoot!” bullshit.
