I agree but I still think Purdy is just a good game manager with a more talented roster. We just haven’t as a good draft in half a decade. Maybe we finally had one.  You can be a playoff team with talented roster and game manager.

Eh, while Bryce probably had his best day as a pro, there's still some things I doubt he could replicate every week...like throwing the ball up for grabs that lead to two PIs which kept drives alive.  He had two really good throws today, one to Moore for a first down and the other Leggette dropped.  Again, he's taking better care of the ball and that unto itself is a drastic improvement.

He played better than what his average had been for the season which had been one of the worst qualified passers. There's nowhere to go but up from rock bottom. Credit to him for improving from that. But we still need to blow up this QB room and have a legitimate competition next year. If we want to truly take a step out of the cellar and become a serious franchise that's the only path forward.

Absolutely. Don’t anoint anyone as anything. Make em earn it.  It’s always a competition!

Credit to Canales. Last year this would've been a blowout loss, we came back down multiple scores to tie it late and only lost by a last second FG drive from the best QB ever.

Last year. Shiddd earlier in the season. Have to remember we’re watching to see canales progress as well. He is a rookie.

Y'all still haven't bought in on Bryce? I get it. But he's shown improvement every game since coming back. He can still be the guy. And if Tremble catches that TD, Carolina beats KC.

We bought in after Green Bay.

Right now Bryce just needs to focus on finishing the season on a high note. If he plays well good we will have a competition in camp. But no matter how the rest of the season goes that is what we must do. We cannot for a third season in a row hand anyone the keys and expect good things. What's that saying about repeating the same thing over and over expecting different results? Yeah.

Got plenty of time to continue improvement.
I just hope this game didn’t take everything out of the players and we go into the Bucs game playing flat and exhausted.
This definitely took a lot out of them.

Yup. Bryce will likely play us out of position to draft a better QB prospect if he plays the rest of the season this well, but we will want to bring someone in from FA.

Had an awesome deep ball to Legette on the first drive, too. Probably Young's most impressive game, all things considered.
