Run for his money? Do you know how long Woody has been fuging over the Jets? So bad that Belichick peaced out before he even started coaching. If anything its the other way around lol, Tepper playing catch up.

Slow down nobody is saying Woody Johnson isn't one of the worst owners in the NFL.

But Tepper has arguably been one of if not the most impulsive and easily duped owners in a fairly short amount of time. He's seemingly finally starting to take the hint and chill maybe but make no mistake he's already been right there with Woody and it's taken him 24 years to be this bad. Worst win % in all of professional sports within 6 years of ownership for Tepper? That's quite the feat.

Could you imagine being in that meeting? Johnson steps in and with a straight face says he's nixing the trade because of  Madden rating. You chuckle because it's obviously a joke and while not overly clever you're pretty impressed with the sincerity of the delivery. Uncomfortable silence envelopes the room as everyone slowly realizes it's not a joke. This motherfuger is actually serious.

If I'm the GM im simply saying, "Listen, if you're seriously going to come in here and veto a trade because of an arbitrary video game rating, just go ahead and fire me now because this is straight out of The Onion."

The poorly managed teams are so bad this year that I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come up at offseason meetings.

It hurts everybody's bottom line for the bottom of the league to be this terrible.

Mike Silver (wrote this article) has some really interesting stories from those meetings. I heard him speak on PMT once.

    • Other than the wasted pick on Allar, id love this.
    • Hos production by snap count and targets isn't bad. They must REALLY be tired of dealing with his knuckleheaded behavior which is saying something for an organization that put up with Stephon Diggs for four years.
    • Bryce had his best season this year and it wasn't even remotely as good as Stroud's "worst" (2024, which was still a damn good season). His passer rating and efficiency were actually up this year compared to last.  His yards and TDs would likely have been higher as well, were it not for missing three games due to injury.  So he's actually improved his overall body of work. I don't see any trend downward whatsoever.  I agree the playoff game was a meltdown, but I think that had much more to do with missing weapons and what appeared to be an injured hand.  After his hand hit the center's helmet his accuracy clearly suffered.  It was a terrible game, but I don't foresee it being as career-altering. In regard to the topic of the thread, I'd trade 5 Bryce Youngs for one CJ Stroud in an instant and never look back.
