Without investing in the defensive line the results are going to be the same every week. I don’t think you can coach around that. 
 

I don’t blame that on Evero. I won’t be surprised if he leaves or he’s fired as a scapegoat but I can’t really judge the defense or coaching when the front 7 is this weak.

Ron seems like a good guy but man he is mid as a coach.

For whatever my past opinions of Ron Rivera as a head coach might have been he's a great man people respect and he was there for some of our most entertaining seasons. It's good to see him around.

it's the overpromotion factor in play.  Every great QB coach isn't supposed to be a great OC.  Every great OC isn't supposed to be a great HC.  

Ron Rivera was a very good DC in the NFL.

Actually blitzing and sending 5 guys through the gaps is what you do when you want to hide deficits and have backups playing key roles. You don't send 4 and sit back in a prevent zone like we do. We give up more points in the last 2 minutes of a half than any team in the league. That is scheme not personnel. I want a Baltimore style scheme if we keep playing a 3-4.

Yea I'm so tired of these soft zones and our most aggressive blitzes being a delayed 5th man.  He has mixed it up a tiny bit more the past week or two with an immediate cb or safety blitz but still only ever sends 5 at most.

That was the good luck charm yesterday.  We had a winning coach Panthers coach back in the building.
