After looking at Remmers protecting Mahomes, we owe Cam an apology

We've needed a LT since Gross retired. Well, we did find one briefly in Oher and then concussions derailed him. I'm still baffled why we haven't given Moton a longer look at LT.

He hasn’t looked great at LT imo.

As Americans we can all see, you can't beat the media, the NFL establishment, refs, and a good football team all at the same time. The Chiefs were long written out. NFL Entertainment hasn't promised anything but that. It's their products, they can do with them as they will.

I may not live long enough to see the Panthers be relevant again

this whole business with the QB situation is depressing

I just feel like the Panthers had zero plan for the most important position on the field and they swung for the fences with bridgewater  and got mediocre

the handling of Newton. Then bridgewater and now what seems like desperation to find somebody, anybody other than who that same brain trust brought in

yes I know there is new gM but same HC and OC who brought us Bridgewater

is this what a good franchise does?

this upcoming draft is the most important draft in franchise history.

Not entirely true.

Bill Voth confirmed that in Super Bowl 50, Remmers was supposed to have help blocking Von Miller, but apparently it never showed up.

Unknown who it was supposed to be but a couple of people have pointed a finger at Mike Tolbert.

The strip sack fumble for a td Tolbert had gone out for a pass he was over the middle The play before stewart got rolled up on and went out briefly injured. No one should make excuses for Remmers. If anything a young Darryl Williams should have been inserted but we know how Ron does when it comes to vets and rookies smh.

fwiw remmers was mostly fine during the year. he wasn't a strength of the team or anything but he wasn't a swinging gate.

he was just massively exposed during the super bowl, and there was a combination of him not being able to handle what was happening and the panthers failing to adjust...anything...to help him.

then the right side of the line completely collapsed and that was that.

If I recall correctly, Tolbert had a terrible Super Bowl and Ealy was the star.  Funny how things work out.

I’m having a hard time buying that story as it’s being presented. One or two missed assignments I get but Remmers needed help on at least a third of the snaps. If a player didn’t give him help at all then it’s on the coaches to remind him or switch up players or schemes. If Rivera wouldn’t do that then it’s all on him. If they did remind Tolbert and he still wouldn’t do it then he should have been cut.

Tolbert missed some blocking assignments and gave up a fumble deep in Denver territory.  A TD on that drive would had us back in the thick of the game, IIRC.  Crazy, but Ealy would have been the defensive MVP had we of won that game.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
