Interesting trade back but I have also seen mocks where both Sewell and Slater are gone before 8, but that scenario is where and why Pitt and Chase are there at 8.  Slater may not be there at 10.

IF both Sewell and Slater are gone at 8, take Darrisaw at 10, which feels too soon?  Darrisaw at 10 or Pitt at 8?  I just don’t know...

The two unknown variables to consider right now no matter who the Panthers select at pick eight are what will ultimately happen with Taylor Moton long term and the looming void at center which is also really important. The Panthers offensive line is anything but one pick away or even just a few moves away. It will be a process spanning the next few seasons and that's if everything goes according to plan and without injuries.

I never said LT or offensive line wasn't important. Hell, I've said if we do draft Sewell and Leatherwood is there in the 2nd round I think we should draft both (I love his versatility and he would be a monster guard). I just don't think you pass on Pitts with the options available to us if he's there.

People need to realize that teams don't think in terms of need and just drafting the next highest ranked player.

Fan's board:  OT1>OT2>CB1>TE1

Teams think in terms more of grade.

Teams board might be something like: OT1>TE1>CB1>OT2

or even 

OT1>TE1>trade down>CB1>OT2

The team could easily have Pitts and Sewell in a totally different tier than everyone else.  If Pitts and Sewell are both gone I could actually see us trading down.

I think it is silly, but I do know they will try and get Pitts. Wouldn't be surprised with an Alabama WR either.
