Teddy hasn't reached out to Sam yet following the trade

Recommended Posts

If the Panthers feel as down on him as they have expressed in their barbs to the media the last few months why would they want him trying to mentor the next guy anyway? Everyone is just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Even before he was traded, did you guys ever hear any positive things about Teddy's presence in the locker room and leadership during the season?  I know there was a lot of preseason hype, but the silence was deafening towards the end of the year.

meh

i feel bad for him ultimately.

he's probably ready to get out of what is to him a toxic and nightmarish year of employment.

Dude got his shot and was paid well, performed poorly (though exactly in line with his past performance), called his coaches out in public, got some frank candor back in public, and is getting replaced. It's possible there is more behind the scenes and perhaps he wasn't treated fairly but it doesn't appear that way, and any behind the scenes stuff could be him behaving poorly as well. This outcome appears a direct result of his own play and conduct and if he's pissed about that then it's just more deflection and external locus of control.

The organization has crapped all over teddy all offseason. I'm not sure why everyone expects him to be happy with his current situation. IMO by not saying anything he is being as professional as he needs to be.

Don’t care for all the Teddy hate.  He did his best and he wasn't as terrible as people here are saying.  He doesn’t need to meet and greet the guy when the writings on the wall.  He knows he wont be here.

Well, so what.  Teddy is on his way out...just a matter of time.  Sam is his replacement.  Teddy being on the team right now is just a formality.

It is messy but everything does not have to be an issue.

I mean, hard to knock Teddy for that.

They just replaced him.  They want to get rid of him.   Why would he play welcoming committee.  I don't fault Teddy for that.

Tepper/Rhule didn't handle Cam or Teddy correctly.  Moving on from either is fine.  But they go about business shitty.  And you don't have to do that.

Some of you guys are ridiculous. We all know he's gone.  He isn't talking crap.  He's minding his own business.  This seeks like a mature and fine way to handle this.

Also why do people think he has burner social media accounts? Lol.  I've not seen anything like that confirmed.

Honestly, who cares?  Teddy is not thrilled.  The team just traded for his replacement.  I don't see a problem with him being himself.  At this point, Teddy knows he's not going to get a fair shake.

Teddy also got paid a ton of money for a season basically.  If he get's cut, he still gets paid.  I don't feel bad for him one bit.

    • In his post practice presser, Coach Matt Rhule said the team views rookie tackle Brady Christensen's best fit as being at right tackle. He added that Christensen can also slide inside to guard, but he prefers him at the tackle spot. Obviously, the team already has a starter in that role. However, Rhule also referred to Taylor Moton as "a guy who can flip-flop" between the tackle spots. Mentioned elsewhere that this makes me think they're gaining more confidence in his ability to play on the left. Rhule also reiterated today what he had previously said regarding Cam Erving, that he's primarily slotted as a left tackle right now. Erving hasn't been able to practice there due to an injury though. Hence, why other guys are getting looks. One of those guys is Dennis Daley. Previous expectation was that he'd be looked at primarily at guard this year, but it's starting to sound less and less like that's the case. Definitely sounds like the lineup on the OL is getting some different looks. Might not be so easy to predict what it's ultimately going to look like come week one.
    • His contract will be around 5 years 84 million
    • "What did you focus on? --- I don't want to disclose my personal goals, I'd rather show. " Translation : "None your f'n business how I train on my own or what training I do.   Next question."   At least that's what it sounded to me.   Anyway, he's here for mandatory camp so I could care less what he did when it wasn't mandatory.   Robby is here & ready to rock, and that's all that matters.
