Back from vacation, talk to me about your training camp interests.

It’s all about the QB this year.  Can they protect him, and can he get it done?

Not really training camp stuff, but those are the only real questions I got.

I think the QB situation is really going to come down to regular season games. Darnold falters when the fire is live, so we aren't going to know until that happens.

The only things that he could do to make a lot of concern in training camp is to look like complete poo(the whole time) or get injured. Those would be instant areas for concern.

I’m hoping for good things from these joint practices.  I think the “live” reps with no fear of contact could really boost his confidence seeing CMC/Moore/Anderson/Arnold making plays.

As I prepare for the hell knows as Spartanburg in August, please let me know some of the players or positions you are most interested in.

Would love to know what safety position Chinn will be playing and who is playing beside him.

This. I'm honestly not all that interested in Darnold's play during camp or preseason. I want to see what he looks like when the games actually matter and once opposing DCs have film of him in our system to study. We'll know who Darnold really is by Halloween.

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • This is why we need the Bank of America Stadium Ballroom.
    • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
