So I just was looking at Sam's NextGen Passing Charts from week 1 & 2 side by side thanks to a tweet from Steven Ruiz:

Interesting and encouraging to see the HUGE improvement on intermediate passes 10-20 yards) from week 1 to week 2.  And WAY FEWER passes at or behind LOS.

I know it's sacrilege here, but the hit and pressure on Sam  that caused the INT and then 7 points came from the RIGHT side of the line.  PJ Williams waltzed into the backfield untouched  as Moton and MIller double teamed the tackle rather than picking up the blitz.  If that was Erving this place would be melting down.

Jet Fan here and believe Sam got screwed by the JETS.  I recorded the NO game and thought Sam looked better then I have seen since his rookie days.

The sheer fact that he "now" goes through his progressions (something he was and still is criticized for BTW), making the correct reads and throws, letting the game come to him, and finally doesn't have "happy feet " is a significant improvement over the SAM of the last two years.

I can tell you your coaching staff and schemes are working.

As another poster pointed out, SAM has wheels.  Use it as a way to keep the D honest.  he is faster a then you think... go back and watch the run vs. Denver.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
