Given that it was reported that he was being released that leads me to believe that Fitt picked up the phone and then made the deal. 

I LOVE that he took advantage of the situation.

Im as excited about the FO as I am about our young team. Exciting times.

Hindsight is 2020. Not sure there's any way we could've foreseen trading for two starting caliber corners this year

Honestly I have mixed feelings about this (age and price for contract), but a 6th for a one year rental (at worst) is fine by me. It also keeps Tampa from signing him. Also I had mixed feelings about the Darnold trade, so I might just sit back and see what happens…

It seems most don't understand basic trading 101.

1. It takes two willing partners to make a trade.

2. One cannot force another to make a trade.

3. All other scenarios see number 1.

This is what people need to consider too.  Regardless of what value you think he brings to this team... at least we now know he won't be making potential playoff opponents like the Packers and Buccaneers better.  So not only do we potentially make ourselves better, but we stop others from getting better.

This was a fantastic trade.

while you may not like the move, what about making that move tells you we are not in win now? just apply some quick logic. you pointed out he is 31-so hes not young, which means we are not building for the future...
