Predictions - Panthers at Giants

This'll be a get right game for us, I think we'll beat them soundly and convicingly.

Panthers: 23

Giants: 6

An already dreadful team missing a lot of its starters,I think we'll come out amped. Our D will dominate, the offense will still have its hiccups and I would bet a good amount of their points come off turnovers inside Giants territory. We lost to two teams with a superior roster; only truly bad loss was that damn Philly one. If we do somehow manage to lose this, we will be in free fall and I'll start to become worried about us potentially undershooting the 8-9 win mark. That'd be a worst case scenario.

Alternatively, we'll do what CRA suggested and dominate the game in the yards category but miss oppourtunities on crucial downs and as a result never go up as much as we feel we should similarly to the Jets game. Could see either happening.

Think it similar to the Philly game in some aspects.

D dominates early vs a bad offense and sets up an easy win.    We never get up as much as we feel we should be. Staff does try to get an even rush/pass split that leans slightly to the run.  Which prevents the turnovers we saw vs Philly.   Chuba grinds out a good but unspectacular game.

23 - 13 Panthers

Their offense appears to be a MASH unit. We should dominate on D but this O will be the equalizer in a rather ugly game. I think we get this one by a FG but it wouldn’t surprise me either if we lose by same.

Last time we faced a trash NY team….we barely squeaked by in reality.

I got faith the D can setup a win.  I just don’t know if the O can do their part.   Just too inconsistent.    And turnovers are clearly becoming a real issue.

28th in the NFL in turnover margin. That isn't gonna result in many wins.

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
