I realize facts don't matter these days the number of games lost to injury for us is on the mid to low end of the league for this year and last.

Dead center of league last year, COVID excluded

This year mid low end of league.

We haven’t been hit extremely hard compared to other teams….it’s just CMC being injured all the damn time that is the real concern.

Yeah, I see this happening if we can't move him. He's not a part of the rebuild picture.  All Scott & Rhule have known him for is being injured.  He comes from the Rivera-Hurney regime and I only see them really coveting Moton, DJ & Burns from that squad.  Carter, Zylstra & Bonnafon have somehow survived, not many others.

I just hope Fit has his finger on things and pushes Rhule in the right direction for acquisitions.  It's clear they're both going to be making decisions together. I just hope Scott takes a bit more of a driver's seat rather than a tandem GM thing I feel it is.

We are pretty much stuck with McCaffrey’s contract. He can be an asset when healthy. I have heard Rhule talk about what a competitor he is, how he wants to be in every down. Rhule is the coach, he needs to make it clear to McCaffrey he is going to share the load in the future. Derrick Henry is another example as great as he is, but now Tennesse is now in the same boat. No running back in todays game can take the hits they take and be an every down back for long no matter how good they are.

Getting rid of cmac is not the way… we have a lot of cap room … with the cap rising we will have more .. cmac is a very rare rb … changes everything when he is on the field manly because of his pass catching ability… he is not injury prone .. we are overly cautious of our most prized asset… he will be back soon all this talk will go away … I’m team make a cmac a lifer !!!!! Just a qb and few more pieces away .. we got the coach we got the gm we have the owner … it’s only a matter of time .. keep pounding let’s go panthers !

Unfortunately I think a restructuring for less or a opt out is going to be needed next year. Especially if Hubbard is progressing like this year. Bring in a bruiser and let them split the role. CMC is a great back that has been used way too much. He honestly could help a playoff team get a ring. Something we are not doing anytime soon.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
