With our incredible 2nd half adapting skills we're looking at a blowout now. I sure did have some hopes for this year after seeing our D perform so well early on, but now?  Laughable.  I'll be looking at what college offensive linemen we'll be able to get with our top ten round 1 draft pick...

teams like Texans and even Rivera and Heineke think their situation is better as did the Seahawks and Jets and couple other teams.

i have an open mind, i won’t say it’s impossible, maybe, but if more being competitive means actually paying for a lower draft pick…i’d rather rather not

it’s not just Darnold, the entire offense is the worst in the league in a a lot of categories

panthers aren’t about to break NFL records being so bad and going to the post season

it won’t make a difference that matters

7th most pocket time out of 32 starting qbs. It is absolutely Sam Darnold. He is sucking the life out of this team. Including what he does to the defense.

Idgaf what anyone says, Darnold needs to sit his ass down.  He isn't getting better, he's only getting worse each game and he is completely hamstringing the offense.

You can talk all the poo in the world about PJ, but he does two things well that Darnold doesn't- create plays with his legs and throw the ball deep.  That's what we need.

PJ needs to start the second half.  Period.  Because otherwise, they are just going to keep punting the ball back to them and our defense will get ran all to hell.

    • These kickers are getting so good
    • They're pretty far off, double T-Mac's stats to get to the same targets as XL and it would be 4 drops to 7.  A 3 drop difference might not sound like a lot, but it's still almost twice as many drops on the same number of targets. Not to mention, if I remember correctly, XL's drop problems last year seemed more down field, where he was dropping passes he should be making and it was clear his poor hands were there reason he dropped them. And weren't both of T-Mac's drops this year on quick hitters with blockers out in front of him?  I know at least the second one was as he was going to go for a huge play and maybe a TD on it. To me, and yes, I'd say this about any other player, those are drops because a rookie was trying to do too much in making a play before securing the catch.  Much easier to improve upon a lapse in concentration than dropping passes because you have bricks for hands and body catch more often than hands catch, like with XL. And yes, 100%, which is why I wasn't one of those people you were referring to with talking about him that way last year.  Yes, I said he had drop problems., because he did, but I didn't think they were unsolvable and expected to see great improvement this year after an offseason of hitting the juggs machine (unfortunately not sure that happened though).
