Does anyone wish we had kept him and simply changed GM's ?

Rivera is Rivera, every day. He’s so consistent you could set your watch to him. As he took command of a mercurial and rudderless Washington franchise, his steadiness often seemed remarkable. Mostly, though, it is simply a good, solid, fundamental approach to coaching.

Actually, Hurney never should have been brought back to begin with, but hey...

Ron never had a good GM.  Now he is basically the boss, something that I think  is a mistake.  I would have liked to see him with a good GM here. Maybe things would have gone a little better.

That time was when they brought back Hurney again. Their time together, again, made it obvious it was time for change. Failure at that level just makes change the best option for everyone.

It stinks but Tepper really screwed up by keeping Huney and not hiring a Berry to hold his hand and teach him to be a better owner. Now we are stuck in those mistakes. Rhule and company are all just classic mistakes from  an owner with his training wheels on and no real idea what he is doing with his staff and front office.

Meh. We made our decision and it was for the best. It was time to part ways and Ron seems different after moving on. We just as usual went about the after part all wrong. All you can do is hope Tepper is learning something through all this but who knows.

The first clue to our misery was when Tep said hurney was a great talent evaluator...

      He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.

      This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.

      I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
