MLB will be a target...

Crazy thought.  What about moving Shaq to middle?  Resign Luvu and put him at strong.  We would still need a linebacker but we could ease him in at will. If we can trade down and come away with extra picks I'm onboard for a more highly regarded prospect.   Just a thought.

uhh yeah about that

Fitt is going to pull a second and third rounder out of his ass, I guess.

I mean we have only a handful of picks in this draft and only one in the first couple days unless we get a comp pick. What/who are we going to trade away to improve that.

The most valuable of the limited picks we have should all be focused on the weakest link on the team.

Fitt mentioned somewhere else that he’d like to trade back in the 12ish part of the first. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we picked a MLB and then go offense with what we got in a trade back. If we can even find a trade partner.

If we take a defensive player with our first pick, I, and probably 99% of the panthers fans here will absolutely lose their poo.  No way on earth do ya go "we have one of the worst offenses in nfl histroy...we should stock up on more defensive talent."  At this point, it has to be o line, qb, hell tight end, we can't keep kicking the can down the road and hope that somehow cmc can play more than 3 quarters of a football game.

Or one quarter of a season.

You are completely right on all you said. Would be an epically short sighted pick using a first or really any early pick on defense unless we go all in on FA and knock it out of the park, but still we need to make drafting OL early a priority and quit being cute.

Would you go 1 first or 2 second or a second and a third(much more likely without trading away future picks). Knowing that Rhule is going to have a say in the picks. I’m pretty torn.

Edit: I just want that C. I’ve always bought into the Rivera school that you can’t build a OL outside in. You have to build C out. At least we know it’s a quality player over 2-3 maybes.

Weird how this thread has turned into a Covid vax truther thread. Perryman wasn’t vaxed. Ok. Regardless of your opinion on it - you are 110% at a competitive disadvantage this season if you had unvaxed players. That is indisputable. That could have played a part in his departure. He is a solid player but it’s not like if he were here it would have a made a difference.

This checks out. Anything that dumb I could see us doing.

    • The next time a contrarian barrels in here trying to tell other people to be nice to the Tepper's just show them this.
    • I'd say or believe the RB room has or will improve. Rico > inches. Then 3rd RB is 4th rounder Trevor Etienne, who we don't know what he bring, should be more than last year and I heard he's got good hands.  All the TEs are young, even back issue Tremble is 24. Evans is a worker and Sanders has been getting props on his body. Sighlt edge points up here too, imo. OL everyone but Motown should be better too, they are mostly OL "young" and that was the first season with the OL coaches. Did you know they have a personal coach for C, IOL, and OTs?? They got three OL coaches on this staff, I don't believe any other team has this method.  You know about the talent added to WR room.  It does come down to BY. If I say BY wins the MVP award, how would that look team-wise??
    • The sad part is Panthers SM team was once in tune and godlike with the SM handling.... The only team I can think of that could pull this " leave your mark " is the chiefs. They are in the middle of a dynasty run and win 12 games on a bad year....... terrible move by Panthers. I mean even during the 7-9 years I was able and ready to talk trash with all other teams fan base...... 5-12s, 2-15, 6 new HCs, poor drafting...... I have been locked in a library and my best line is " no comment "..... God dam its been a rough 6 years and now the Panthers gave other teams this "leave your mark" ammo..... They better God dam win.
