Sustained offensive drives and less bad field position would be the best help for our defense.  I also think they still finished as a top 5 defense in a lot of metrics even with those factors.

Points allowed: 21st

Rushing yards allowed: 18th

Passing yards allowed: 4th

Total yards allowed: 2nd

Football Outsiders DVOA : 15th

Not my favorite selection, but when you look up MacAdoo’s history, this guys has an impressive resume and extensive experience with offensive position coaching including OL, QB, QC and TE. The HC experience, although it didn’t end well, could be just what Rhule needs to balance his own fallacies. Maybe not the “ rockstar” the fans are clamoring for but he may be just what we need. And some guys are just better as coordinators than they are as HC. Check out the history below:

Metrics dont mean anything when teams can just put a jumbo set on the field and run all over our D. We seen it against the cowboys and the WFT.

I didn’t think this team could get more embarrassing but here we go.  Ben Mcadoo is probably the biggest laughingstock of a head coach along with Rhule of the past decade (at least top 5).  He was ungodly bad with the Giants, when they still had some talent.

He'll fit right in here.

I dont know about long term damage as long as they dont really really fug up this draft.   It worked out pretty well in 2001 and 2010.  Identical situations IMO.  The key as I stated is dont let rhule overdraft some jack off qb at 6 and trot him out behind this dogshit line.  That is a recipe for disaster.  That move would really really set us back a bit.  Build the line, make rhule play darnold, and keep plowing ahead.  2022 is going to suck no matter who the coach is.  0.0% chance we make the playoffs so might as well go all in on a rebuild.  Something as you know we should have done in 2020.

Think free agency too. They can nuke our cap with panic moves. Same with trading draft capital.

One thing is the cap number for 2022 at the start of 2021 was around 110 million. All those 2021 FAs borrowed form that year (Reddick, fox, bouye, erv, elf, etc) and Shaq&CMC pushed money into the future. Plus the wasted Cam 4.5 million in season, took form the roll over..... Now theres around 35 with the roll, what a joke coming form 110 ........and they are NOT any better.

Finesserereereerer magic....200.gif

Indeed he will. Clownshow of a franchise.  He’s legit one of the top 5 worst head coaching fire of the past 20 years, right alongside Rhule.  Fitting those clowns are together

McAdoo was only a coach for two years and he took his team to the playoffs his first season. There are plenty of coaches who never smelled the postseason.

    • MORGAN ON PLAY CALLER FOR CANALES   "I think that's really his [Canales'] call," he stated. "I think if he wants to promote somebody into being the play-caller or bring somebody from the outside. We haven't really talked about that. But that is something that I'm sure we'll talk about. We talk about every decision together. If he feels like he needs to add somebody or promote somebody into being the play-caller, then I trust him."
    • Dude, he cannot see the field, when his feet are not set he throws ducks.   What the fug are you watching?
    • I'm looking at the final drive, and that's where I'm laying the blame at Bryce's feet. Stepping up to the line, 38 seconds left, 3 time outs on the clock. 30 yards needed to attempt a FG. It's not Bryce's job to call the plays, that's DC's and it was terrible play calling.  It's Bryce's job to read what the defense is giving him at the line. The middle of the field is open. Rams are guarding against the deep ball and bringing pressure leaving the middle of the field ripe for the taking. Knowing his line not holding up for long, Bryce should have read the defense, called the audible, and thrown to the middle of the field for 6- 8 yards, like you said, quick slants would have worked. Then run either hurry up or call a TO. We had time. He has to make the adjustments. Any QB has to make the adjustments.  The pass Horn dropped hit his hands but was at his knees. Should he have slid and caught it? Probably. Was the pass a good one? No it wasn't. Both players were at fault, not just Horn. Let's not pretend that Bryce threw a beautiful pass that hit the receiver chest high right in the hands in perfect stride because that damn sure wasn't the throw.  The defense didn't choke away a lead. They never had a real lead. Choking away a lead is being up by multiple scores late in the 4th and losing. We were up by 4 and handed the ball back to a potential MVP with an All pro WR and potential future HoF WR2. One score games in the 4th are a slug fest. 28-3. That's choking away a lead.  I don't solely blame Bryce for the game, but you seem to solely blame the defense for the game because they went to prevent after losing Horn. You are forgetting the short field that the offense left them that led to the early Puka TD on one of our 2 failed 4th down conversions. Our defense has been given very limited resources over the past 3 years while we have tried to put everything possible around Bryce. We added a little bit to the D this year after giving up a NFL record in points last year. Our defense overachieved based on what they've been given to work with.
