McAdoo damned well better have not only insight but influence if Rhule wants to keep his damned job.

He definitely should haha but our head coach is clueless, man.  I never know what that guy’s gonna do except typically make the wrong choice

So keep the coach but handicap him and set him up for failure. That's dumb AF. If Rhule isn't fired, Tepper isn't putting roadblocks in. That would be entirely counterproductive.

Either fire the guy or keep your hands off the football side of the organization.

Well the current leadership gutted the 2022 draft picks. Wouldn’t surprise me if they started trading next years in a desperate attempt to save their jobs. I guess we should be happy they’re going all in? Worked in 2021 right???

Not saying be happy. Just saying if you keep the coach, no reason to kneecap him. Might as well fire him at that point and save a year. Don't think that's happening, so I don't think Tepper needs to play around in football operations by dictating what happens on the football side.

I'm just against owners having in say so in draft picks, selections, players, etc. Hire and fire - that's as far as the owners extent should be.

sorry Howell is over rated by UNC homers

dude had several NFL players on his offense in 2020 and didnt do poo

played in the ACC and was underwleming

hes also got the game body as baker mayfield..  just pastier, and harrier

Nice to see someone else who isn't wearing the UNC Homer glasses.

The guys play in college reminds me of Will Grier with scrambling ability, and that's not a knock at Grier as he played really well for WVU. Also Howell will not be able to run on NFL defenses the way he did against a weakened ACC. (the entire conference was bad this past season)

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
