No Carolina Panthers made the PFF top 101 players

PFF doesn't know what they are doing.  They did not consider versatility in their ratings and we excel in versatility.

I think we have players worthy of being on the list.  The problem is our coaching staff put them in positions where failure was not only a likely option, it was pretty much inevitable.  It's amateur hour on our sidelines.

Well when you have the HC actively trying to move players into a spot where they can fail, this normally happens.

Last year could have been magical with Cam coming back if we had any real nfl coaches on staff.

Instead we are at one of the lowest points in Panthers history and Tepper just hit repeat.

Not even from that high powered defense? How is that All Defensive draft coming along? When it happened, I thought it was cool. I've never seen anything like it. I hope it doesn't backfire and blow up in their faces. It would be a double whammy. No one panning out from an All Defensive draft + you neglected the offense. How do these people still have jobs?

(This Statement Was Copied From A Disgusted Panthers Fan😞)

I’ve been a Panthers fan since they entered the league years ago. I’ve never known back-to-back winning seasons, even with generational talents like Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly.

We are a dynasty of pain, with a fanbase that’s satisfied with mediocrity so long as the players have a nice smile and kiss babies on the forehead. We have an actual, official fan club called The Roaring Riot who claim they are “Undefeated at Tailgaiting”, like being in your mid 40s and slamming craft beers while playing cornhole and singing Sweet Caroline is some achievement in fandom.

Our former head coach bragged about winning the division three times in a row, despite winning it once with a losing record. He was given a better sendoff than Cam Newton. Our new coach resembles a gerbil and has the sensibilities to match. We fumbled the release of arguably the most important player in franchise history, but it’s only the first time we bungled a release if you don’t count Steve Smith, Deangelo Williams, Josh Norman, or Greg Olsen. We brought in the backup of the Saints just to watch the fanbase (me included) incinerate him on social media.

Somehow, we still thought that Sam Darnold was an upgrade over Teddy Bridgewater. The Saints have been caught up in cheating scandals and helped the Catholic Church avoid a pedophilia scandal, yet they still somehow come out looking better than our team.

    • They must really believe in Penix is all I can say.
    • They definitely have to get better in the draft. My other big concern is whether this coaching staff has what it take to win some games.
    • I thought his contract was fat to make it happen and no one really thought he would playout at least that 4th year, just a bonus year to make the numbers work while including the guaranteed money that made it happen. It could be his last contract and to me it reads as he has 2 years and then they will see what happens then at a higher then normal cost. That QB room and the owner/gm meeting room away from cameras too. Just depends on the personality types. Cousins is a old pro with a fat contract and a no trade clause. IT could blow up or be just fine this year. By next year that's when it ramps up. Cousins could get a trade done and find another spot to finish this contract. It's 35 mil dead cap to cut/trade him after year 2 and 12.5 mil dead cap after year 3. If Cousins wanted to play somewhere else then he could give that a try but either way after year 2 the team has options. If the rookie grows and is worth it at year three then even that dead cap would just be a normal QB pay outside the rookie wage scale. Looks like they may get 1 year of rookie pay advantage and then the option year if things go well for them so 3 years lost and 2 left.  They should have given a heads up to the owner, Cousins tho. They had plenty of time to say what the plan was. Cousins isn't young but it's still a trashy move when he just got there 2 months ago. That was also a rather big move considering the player and their needs. Just dumb way of doing it all IMO but I always get 'it was for a QB and you have to take shots when you see them'.
