If I remember right McAdoo had Baker like 5th in his QB rankings that year. Darnold was actually ahead of him.

McAdoo is basically a lameduck OC.  Matt Rhule is just going to throw whatever he can against the wall to survive.

Watson IMO is largely Tepper.  Yeah, it benefits Rhule.  But if it fails Rhule is going to do Matt Rhule things IMO.

No one knows poo right now. Media can be wrong, heck, Jeremiah said he’d be a seahawk...that ain’t happening. We really are the best fit for this guy, will it happen, not sure, but we aren’t out of this.

Saints can maybe pull off Armstead and Fuller, but otherwise we have way more flexibility to hand craft the roster for Watson if that's what he's looking for. And also can realistically pay him whatever he wants in his restructure/extension. The Saints even after these moves still have like $10 in cap space next year

No he isn’t a lame duck OC.  Stupid take from an idiot

You have no knowledge about anything that is close to even stupid

So either way the Browns prob burned the Mayfield bridge today. Wonder if Matt Ryan is feeling this diva rn

Not only Matt Ryan, but imagine what’s going through the heads of our guys:  Chinn, Burns, Brown, Horn, CMC

Something nobody is talking about in all of this is the collateral damage that will be created internally if Watson doesn’t come here. We have essentially told the heart and soul of this team that they can kick rocks if a good qb comes available.

This season and Rhules tenure are absolutely in the tank if we don’t land Watson. I’d even go as far as saying Tepper will have demolished any good will any of our current players have towards his as well.

If we don’t get Watson, I honestly think this team wins three games next year and not because of a lack of talent or poor qb play.  Both of those will play a part, but the guys who are left are not going to fight for guys that were willing to send them to Houston a few months earlier.

It would depend on what contracts they trade, right? It would take A TON of work to make it happen and I agree, we are much more flexible in getting him what he needs. Let’s just say we don’t get fuller. Moore, cmc, Robby and Watson is better than Kamara and Slant boy. Plus, I would assume Kamara will be suspended a while.

They are professionals and “this is a business” is preached to them from day one lol. They’ll be fine.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
