Hubbard, TMJ & Tremble.  If we want any sort of cohesive future on offense at the skill spots, they're the ones to see how they look going into year 2.

And out of the 2022 group, Corral no doubt.  And Brandon Smith.  We traded up for that kid when some good talent was still out there.  Interested to see what he looks like.

Yes. Heavy dose of  Rhule sucks, Tepper sucks, Darnold sucks, why isn’t Corral getting more snaps. Add in a pinch of Derrick Brown is a bust and can Luke come back to play linebacker.

I suspect there will be the occasional play analysis too.  But quite entertaining nonetheless.

i expect several calls to sign cam

I want to see Baker in a live game, and how our offense clicks with him under center. Do we have the confidence to open it up a little. I don't expect McAdoo to show too much of his playbook, but I want to see if our QB and WR corps can stretch the field vertically.

Honestly, i don't expect as many as in years past.

At this point, I'd say all but the most absolute diehard Newton stans have acknowledged that the Baker Mayfield signing likely closed that particular door for good.

McAdoo said it's important to evaluate players in the preseason games, and not scheme so being as vanilla as possible is important so your scheme isn't getting guys open or whatever.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
