He doesn't have a major flaw playing wise - its why people say if he was 4-5 inches taller he would probably be mentioned as one of the cant-miss Luck, Manning, Lawrence types.

That being said, size is a real factor. There are some QBs that overcome it, like Brees, but its definitely a negative about him. Personally, I think batted balls is less of being a short thing and more having a slow release, or telegraphing your throws too much. I think Josh Allen leads the league in batted balls, or is close, and hes tall.

I think theres some real benefits to being tall and seeing the field better. Durability is also another factor, although thats usually more about your frame build vs height.

I love watching him navigate a pocket, its so impressive.  The difference between him and Levis in terms of  pocket presence is insane.  He definitely is a guy that's ONLY drawback is his size, everything else he has at a high level.  I'm more worried about long term durability than height with him.  He's tough as nails though.

He plays for Alabama will follow him when he enters the NFL and will likely be what most people mention as a flaw.

I don’t think it will be as the O-line and WRs are not the usual dominant ones we are used to see. He does a lot with less this year, no doubt. I think it will 100% come down to his size and ability to hold up in the NFL.

there are guys at his size who play far more physically intensive positions than QB that hold up fine.

hes far and away the best ‘Quarterback’ in this class and one of the better ones to come out.

When QB’s get hit, it’s typically 250+ pound men who do the hitting.

Not the same as Desean Jackson getting tackled by corners.

This is the thing a lot of people overlook. QBs are generally getting hit by BIG dudes and a lot of the hits are blindside hits and hits where they're in vulnerable positions unable to protect themselves (in the act of throwing a football).

I need to watch a lot more, but Young doesn’t look nearly as accurate as Stroud.

It’s not a huge gap but Stroud is the more accurate QB.

2021

Stroud - 7th in adjusted completion percentage.

Young - 10th in adjusted completion percentage.

The separator here is that Stroud also had more attempts at the intermediate range… so Stroud fired the ball further down the field than Young and still had a better completion percentage than him. I’d give Stroud the slight edge.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
