Since Week 6, Panthers rookie OT Ikem Ekwonu has the best pass-blocking grade among all NFL players (90.6).

Not too shabby for a guy that a bunch of people wanted moved to guard back in August and early September.

His ability was so obvious even Rhule eventually saw it after he exhausted all other possibilities.

Damn right. It's been stated weeks ago. I just remember the motherfugers that were talking poo about him. Players have to develop. They didn't even want to give the dude one month, much less one year. But it does let you know who doesn't really know the dynamics of the game.

Cornerstone player for this franchise. He had probably the toughest baptize-with-fire moment any rookie LT can have by facing Myles Garrett, the best 4-3 DE in the NFL, week 1.

I'd like to see us pick up one more lineman in the upcoming draft. Maybe a Center or G. But otherwise, this is what we've needed to do for years. Before you bring in your QB of the future, you build a brick wall for him to stand behind, and we have the makings of a quality O-Line that could last 5-8 seasons. It's what Dallas did before the Dak era, and it's what Carolina is finally doing now. Whoever we bring in will be in great position for their talent to shine through.

I haven’t even looked to see how the other options are doing. Maybe I should but I love watching him run block. He doesn’t disengage until the whistle the times I watched him.
