Home field advantage plays a huge part. Since our fans only show up when we are winning, this chart seems about right. If we had more dedicated loud, raucous fans, it would be different.

Good teams are lucky. Bad teams aren’t. 

Anyone remember 2015 against the Bucs when a player fumbled into the air and another player, I think it was the TE, not Greg, literally caught it in stride and ran for a TD. 
Stuff like that happens to good teams.

We are the unluckiest team. We picked the one year Manning was retiring to have a great year and go to the superbowl. You know the NFL wasn’t going to let their golden boy leave with a loss at the Super Bowl. Any other year we would have won.

Steelers are probably ~5 spots higher in power rankings than they would be if unlucky. 
 

Broncos have a QB who has one of the worst red zone QBRs ever this year. Also, the “luck chart” should account for injuries to starters. No doubt Javonte going down hurt their results this season.

They were clearly a paper tiger from the beginning. I know Bill Parcels loved to say you are what your record says you are, and while that's true practically speaking, your record is not always a reflection of the true quality of a team. The Giants were never going anywhere this year. Even if they get in the playoffs, they're no threat.
