If he “wore out his welcome” in San Fran then Pederson did the same with the Eagles (only 4-5 years and won a Super Bowl) and Reich did the same with the Colts with much less success. As long as the same people pushing this narrative didn’t want Pederson and don’t want Reich, I guess it can make some sense?

Pretty much me. Pederson isn't a bad coach but I could never trust him and absolutely think he will fug up in Jax even in another division as bad as ours. Reich isn't as successful or as good as the other two, he is my 'at least he is on the offensive side' settle meh coach. Harbaugh looks a lot more volatile then many admit but he has had success. It also helps that others were huge issues in SF at that time, ownership and GM come to mind, but he still isn't a guaranteed success just like any other potential candidate. JH's personality is what I kind of feared about any 1st time HC, very talented but also a pain in the arse (just ask Michigan where he is always 1 foot out the door in the most public way lol).

Players did get pissed at Pederson for that final game, and rightly so. But the problems that led up to that were pretty thoroughly documented by Eagles writer Jeff McLane. Basically, Lurie wants to be the head coach/GM/ etc. Howie Roseman is okay with it. Pederson, not so much.

AS to Harbaugh:

Niners veterans still grumbling about Jim Harbaugh

Deion Sanders says 49er players want Jim Harbaugh out

This stuff was happening despite their winning record, so it wasn't a "winning cures all" sort of thing.

These are the things. Its a little bit of what Rhule did, treat them like college kids. Rhule went the "I'm your homie" way and Harbaugh goes "I'm your boomer Dad" route. Harbaugh got wins there so  it flew under the radar for a while, but when you are that guy 1 small crack leads to the damn breaking. Like....is he going to berate a player for eating a chicken sandwich, ya know?

Also todays players are less likely to respond to those things IMO.

JH would put us in the realm of getting a ring. He would have us in the playoffs by year two or three.

I honestly think the Panthers should make the playoffs next year. I’d be concerned if the new coach doesn’t at least have us in contention for the division late in the year.

I mean, we had that this year and would likely be division champs if Darnold weren’t injured most of the year. I don’t see the NFCS being much better next year. Missing the playoffs in the first two years would signal we may have chosen our new HC poorly.

Probably safe to change that last part to year 1.  He’ll be by far the best HC in the division the day he steps foot in Charlotte and I don’t see the other 3 teams in the South making much improvement next year.

If our next coach (whoever that is) gets us a Ring, it was the right hire.

One ring and we'll be happy from now on?

Not sure I agree.

We used to make fun of Buc fans still talking about winning the Super Bowl five to ten years down the road.

Now we want to be like them?;🤔

    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
