I don't.

It'd be great if some of our fans were a little smarter about it though 😕

Smarter about it? I think most of us know that preseason in a vacuum does not matter at all. HOWEVER, to be outscored 41-3 in 6 quarters and show no ounce of competency on either side of the ball (starters and depth) is very concerning, and you would be lying to say otherwise.

Any coach that coaches to win in preseason and not evaluate weaknesses/strengths is a fool.

Again, preseason matters zilch. 2008 Colts proves it. Good coaches use preseason to evaluate, not win.

Nothing matters until the regular season. For those of y'all quitting before game one of the season, well I don't know what to tell you.

You really can’t evaluate if you’re disadvantaging individual matchups against an opponent that is trying from the top down.

Could be 48-3, please hold

Agreed. I’m wondering if we are keeping a lot of starters out (or playing them briefly) because of the depth concern.

You don't hang banners for undefeated preseasons. And(fingers crossed) we have been very healthy this offseason overall.

No reason to risk health for something like this.

I agree with you….It’s not just preseason…this will be a. Not so good year…we have at least 3 more years to rebuild lol

The problem is the team actually made some progress at the end of last season for the first time in what feels like forever and to come out like this with the money and experience put into the coaching staff is quite surprising. It’s still preseason so hopefully this is just a motivation thing from the starters but the backups look like ass too so that’s definitely not good.

Can definitely tell the new fans caring about preseason points.

If you have confidence in your players in practice, there is no reason to put actual game plans into these glorified scrimmages where the only thing that actually matters is determining the bottom 5 spots on the roster.

Bottom 5 spots?

Damn I'm struggling to identify the top 5 spots.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
