You need a better agent if it comes down to that.

Burns value is set by the market regardless of what happened with a previous trade

In house situation if this was true you realize the market will sell your home in a day or 2. You don't need to accept low ball offers

When the mortgage payment is due and you're moving in a couple days, things change. Situation dictates what you will and won't accept. My last 3 properties were all acquired for 20% under asking price because the seller needed the money immediately to put elsewhere. His need was an opportunity for me to my advantage.

Burns is going to get paid. This is simple supply and demand. The season starts in a couple of days. The Panthers have to have Burns to have any chance at winning games. That's a powerful bargaining chip and his agent knows it.

It’s funny people get offended about what his market rate is. Burns will get top dollar from us or someone else around the league. Imagine our pass rush without Burns….it’s not going to be pretty. He plays one of the most expensive positions in the league right up with LT and QB. Don’t act like players like BB just grow in trees.

I wouldn't have had an issue with Burns' actions right now if he didn't scream all camp about how he wouldn't hold out and how important it was for him to be there, etc. like dude really you say all that and just do the exact opposite a month later... lol

That's exactly my stance. Like dude you were just all bragging about being here and how you "have to be here". I want him to get paid and think we need to just do it, but the sudden about-fact is stupid.

It's not a tall tale.

I hated re-signing Robby Anderson from the jump and it was not a popular opinion:

This, on the other hand, did not age as well:

Chosen/Robby/Robbie wasn't even good enough to be a Corey Brown.

It's cute you think that's a gotcha post. Robbie was talented and could have been a great 2nd option but he got cocky and bought his own hype and thought he had arrived and stopped putting in the work. He become a cancer in the locker room and that's on him. I still don't recall droves of people saying he was better than Moore. Obviously he wasn't and only a few trolls or goobers would have believed otherwise. You probably should move on from DJ though you already did this with McCaffrey and it got really unhealthy. Don't make the same mistake again.

    • Great point.    I would lke to add that there is another QB on the roster who was terrible over the middle--Kenny Pickett.
    • I don't think this is the year for Carolina, unfortunately.  I think they will have to make a decision on the QB position-all we know is that Bryce has year 5, but a long term deal has not been signed--yet--and they would be smart to take a "wait and see" approach.  I have not kept up, and I see a path to upside for Bryce, but I do not think we have aggressively pursued a QB when our QB was mediocre to worse than mediocre.  yes, his numbers are improving--but he has adapted by eliminating what he does poorly and not improving on what he does poorly.  Just my take and I have no data to support this view.   Basically, we go as Bryce goes, so the approach is not to bring in a QB to have him compete until we find one, but it is to make Bryce as good as he can be--is that good enough? Season ticket holders buy the hope of winning rings, not winning 8 games. Last year, Bryce had a resurgence.  Take away TMac and Rico Dowdle.  How good was he?  I still have hope.  Not a hater of plan A, but a hater because we have no plan B.
    • Yeah man, I've been here for a very very long time. Couldn't even begin to tell you what year. Maybe 2004 or 5? I've never really been super active, just enjoy reading everyone's opinions and discussions. I'll chime in from time to time. I have had a few different accounts over the years. It's always been a fun place for me to check in on my favorite team. Hopefully we can keep the place running for a long while still. I also would like to recommend bringing back the Lovely Ladies page!
